Yes, it required a bit of grinding at the base of the A posts inside (art imitating life eh!) as for some reason on the Super GT they have reinforcements in. Then it fits on ok. I was going to do some custom wheels but I’m going for the look of ‘what could have been’ perhaps as part of Lesney rationalisation. 
 

Must have been great in those days working there, I’d have really struggled with the temptation not to do my own version whilst the management weren’t looking.

Today's acquisitions:

Mitsubishi and Honda from Sainsbury's (but alas still no MP Anglias!). The S2000 looks more attractive in this guise than the Collectors series one. There was a card for the Premium Skyline R32 but some toerag had snaffled it....

The remainder were from PoundStretcher, great to get the Datsun -its £6 cost was offset by the Matchbox at 99p each. The Minor had completely passed me by.

To be fair, they've been there a long time, the multi-packs were there last I came to Brussels in April so if they are still here next time I can grab them for you if I don't manage to this time.

But I was more interested in this one - interesting to see MC also played on the American "Rabbit" name 

And again from eBay - I relented and paid Scalper tax for the Moving Parts Anglia

Door windows are too small, I understand why as they'd get a bit delicate otherwise - if I find another I'd like to customise it and file the opening out to the right size

Other than that, not a bad rendition of the ol' Anglebox, hopefully the mainline one will slip through the net at Entertainer or show up in one of the bargain shops

That Hot Wheels Anglia is very impressive, to my eyes it’s a better representation of the real thing than the much larger offerings by Dinky and Spot-On apart from the door windows as you said.

It of history to it actually, I bought the knackered Hot Rocker in the mid 90’s, axles fucked, engine had all the chrome come off and I painted it in yellow humbrol. Couldn’t find another engine to use in it so I’ve reshelled it. Only took me nearly 30 years…

What colour is it?

I must admit, I do prefer the versions of these with the non opening parts. I wonder what the super gt Capri body would look like on early pre super fast wheels??

It’s Halfords Yellow spray paint - generic.

I've had some parcels lately.  First up, some ebay wins:

Aha!  Most of these are for my sale stock but I particularly wanted the police Volvo and the shipping container, and the yellow Jag.  Next!

Another fantasy truck for my Anderson fleet, and a fire engine which I might restore, or possibly just sell on.  Next up, a box from @danthecapriman:

Opened at my usual Friday meeting, as you can see, because boxes from here have to go to a different address and this is when I collect.  Oh yeah, unboxing...

Nice!  Some real beauties in there.  And when I got home, my Steve Flowers order was in!

Everything I asked for, which means I can now finish off some that have been stalled waiting for parts, and so cluttering up my bench.

These two weren't actually stalled, but as I've now completed them at the same time... I did the Jensen a while ago in silver, but it didn't please me so I redid it in blue.  Much nicer.  The Porsche was a battered police version and was definitely ready for some filler and paint.

Budgie (police) Wolseley was waiting for tyres and a grille, so that's now done.  Corgi Adams Probe didn't need any new parts but again, I finished it at the same time...

Dinky Austin 1800 was waiting for tyres; Spot-On A40 just needed stripping and painting.

1800 again, this time with its Spot-On buddy!  I'm quietly very pleased to have restored both now so that I can compare them.

And in another comparison, Corgi Ford Classic from a previous DanBox, with the corresponding Vanguard.

The proportions are interesting...  OK now, Rover P6s:

All four of these are the Corgi Trans-O-Lite model, and all restored by me.  The gold one is the latest addition and has been waiting for windows and tyres, which it now has.

Marinas!  The white one is the latest, and I completed it just before the new windows arrived for it; that was handy!  The orange (vermilion) one came with the white one but didn't need anything beyond painting.  You've seen the others before.

And from the latest DanBox, that beige Dodge Monaco station wagon, which is far too nice to strip, along with my existing Fire Chief, and a resto I did earlier.

Some other projects that have been in the queue:

Corgi Studebaker Golden Hawk has gone into my "Goodwood Grid" section now it has windows; a couple from the DanBox will be joining the grid in the coming months.

 Way way back, like 60 years ago, I remember staying at the family farm near Dublin, where we were treated to some rides in a lorry that was used on the farm.  This is about how I remember it; it may very well have not been an Albion but you know... I was 5, I wasn't looking that closely.  I happened to have a Dinky Albion mixer wagon with no cement bucket from an earlier DanBox, and a leftover Beast Carrier body from a Corgi Dodge Kew Fargo.  It seems to fit rather well!

Also from a previous delivery was this Lone Star 1960 Cadillac...

And finally!  In the latest box was a Polish-partwork Vauxhall Chevette.  It comes on faux-RoStyles, which are nice, but not how I wanted it, because this is to represent a mk1, TKA 311T, that I owned in 1993.  So I swopped the wheels for a spare set from a Bond-partwork Sherpa van, which look much more like the base-model hubcaps my car had.  It comes LHD but I don't think I want to get into those conversions.
