Just these three from yesterday's boot sale, happy with them at one Euro each:

Haven't seen many Majorettes done like the Firebird. 205 is suffering with a snapped rollbar and slightly collapsed suspension, but is otherwise tidy. Land Cruiser my favourite of them, I have several other versions but this black one is new to me.

Majorettes are fantastic. I’ve given some of my old ones to my son. They all have working suspension, opening doors or bonnet, tow bar, good details etc. fabulous.

The same goes for me but this morning I woke early and went to my first car boot in ages. A waste of time really as most of the stuff was utter crap! I did find a stall selling die-cast for 5p each so I picked out 30. Some for the sheer comedy value 😂

Went to pharmacy with Mrs Star to pick up some alcohol spray and they had these

IMG_4382.jpeg.38cd634d1ce3f83289e5e1493076b7a5.jpeg

I couldn’t resist picking one up, and was very happy seeing them. Unpacked, saw that Stratos was a possibility but didn’t get too bummed out. Went to a shop, Mrs Star went to pick up some fruit in a shop next door and came back with another one for me to try for Stratos. 😄

So what did I get then?

No Stratos unfortunately.
I’m wondering what is RD-05 based on though?

The bags are numbered so you can work out the contents, hidden under the seam at the back

Thanks! I’ll check if they have Stratos later today. In all honesty, it would be more exciting if they weren’t numbered.

There's a few transformers on eBay,but most are being sold as untested.I did think of buying one of those universal ones  & cutting the plug off.If only there was someone who was into such things, @flat4alfa ?

Its interesting (if your a sad bastard like me) that when you do things like these models you start noticing slight detail differences in cars. The Cortina for example, some seem to have the B/C pillar in between the windows in black yet others it’s body colour.

I had a low spec white 205 as a company car once, just like this one.

2.jpg?w=1784&h=1004

To get the GTi look...

peugeot-205-gti-1988.jpg

...I stuck some black insulating tape on the door B-pillar.

The black pillar thing was always reserved for the sportier models in a cars range to try and give them a longer more aesthetically appealing look.

It can be any transformer as long as voltage matches and amperage is same or higher than the original one. I assume it’s a barrel jack? Cheapest way to do it would be finding a 6v $properA transformer on a flea market and if barrel jack doesn’t fit, buy another one with jack that fits and transfer it over. Just be mindful of polarity, some have it as positive on the pin negative on the barrel, some have it vice-versa! It’s marked on the transformer as so

Boot fair and I came home with this

IMG_9977.JPG.a026fdf6f6d4427437002cef62e3d319.JPG

I can use it under the seat on a BEA flight, useful!

IMG_9978.JPG.de96202c1cc040eed99d2134b4742ee2.JPG

This shite was in it

IMG_9979.JPG.38f61f60da0cf233654b02861561012e.JPG

The seller wanted £5 each for the cars so I asked how much for the whole lot and he wanted £50. Knocked him down to £35 and then worried I'd paid too much as I'd just seen a few Corgi and Dinky

IMG_9980.JPG.456fcea8e424fc6a601935e3db7f0192.JPG

Most are not great condition, but still worth the money I think

IMG_9982.JPG.1f8d72e4efd6d6b708484d20cdbfdeb0.JPG

I think I'll keep the Corgi Fire Engine as it's quite nice and maybe the Dinky one

IMG_9989.JPG.37ed0c663f15ca4640c30bc2876f7075.JPG

Here are the Corgis that attracted me in the first place, I don't really want the Batmobile or the Toronado, but the rest I do. I think someone restored a Man From Uncle (Illya Kuryakin if you must know) Olds and said the button on top could be pressed in without opening the car up. Is that true, I hope so?

IMG_9990.JPG.9c94e7fd89ec751b498ccd6160a86bd8.JPG

Scrap Dinkys, I have a pair of wheels from a Crapi that I think are the same as the Jensens

IMG_9994.JPG.bb6665a8bfc3f66888c69de074aeee48.JPG

A big bundle of Lesney/Matchbox, I'll keep some and maybe put  others with the box of tat I won in a roffle and re-roffle.

IMG_9995.JPG.e1193a79538502b2c8361de2e8c8c5e8.JPG

A few Husky, I had all but the Anglia as a kid so I think I'll keep these

IMG_9996.JPG.0dbe15e944d91d0c21b8a9e7fca21cbe.JPG

Some odd ones here

Not seen any Dinky Dublo before or heard of Champion from France
