For fans of Volvos here's some examples from Pilen, who had a tie up with AHC from The Netherlands.

First is a 480 ES in a standard Pilen box.

I found a nice Matchbox Major set Jennings live stock transporter trailer in a recent job lot, missing its tractor unit. The trailer was in good shape and still had the tailgate ramp too so I decided it was worth finding a Thames tractor unit for it…

Thats another complete (Major pack No7) made up from bits!
I really like these. They’ve got a nice look and feel to them! I’m not old enough to have had them when new but they are fantastic little toys.

Back in the day when the Geneva salon still existed (and I could blag my way into press days) I saw the Qoros international launch, I still have the press pack! Who made the model, I might seek one out.

I really like those early Majors too - all mine have been made up from stray trailers and tractor units found in different places at different times.

I tend to pick bits up as and when I see them - annoyingly small pieces like the separate connector bogeys from the Hendrickson Interstate Double Freighter Truck set will sometimes turn up at the very bottom of a box of knackered diecast...

I'm hoping to eventually reconstruct a full set!

Matchbox Lesney Major Pack M9 Inner-State Double Freighter (Cooper ...

I think the Bedford TK box trailer is my favourite.

Camion bedford tractor matchbox lesney major pa - Vendido en Venta ...

(Not a pic of my actual model but not far off, condition-wise)

The rear doors and loading ramps can be fragile on all of them, so you've done well there to find a Jennings livestock trailer that's still intact!

Yeah, I like that Bedford TK too. It’s hard finding it with the doors though. It’s on my hit list!

There's no makes name on it. Best way to find one is to search Qoros 3 1/43

As difficult as it may be, if you had to narrow it down to one model (toy) car in your possession, what would it be?

Mine is this MK3 Corgi Escort that I think I bought from @Amishtat a couple of years ago. I don’t recall seeing one with the bronze glazing before?

I've waffled on about it at length before, but it's pretty special to me.

I've got another one that's a bit better, and hopefully someday I'll push the boat out and get myself a clean boxed example too.

I found an eBayer selling buggies. Lots of buggies. I missed out on a couple but think I did OK

Not sure why I bid on more tumble buggies but for 99p each, new in box I suppose it was OK

Something not quite right here...

20230427_141533.thumb.jpg.8dd6f5b5f575a82b934b7caf408aaaab.jpg

Dinky buggy is I think another kit version, not the tiniest hint of ever having any paint applied to it. Wish it had the windscreen but I've fixed that problem before. Put the axles at the right ends too!

20230427_142003.thumb.jpg.5fb663c0a66c5bba31ace373bf67e286.jpg20230427_142007.thumb.jpg.93054b38449471a46ec19c6d615601d9.jpg

These two are modernish, I'd like to ID the green one. Blue is a "Kinsfun" apparently

Same for the big Corgi GP, nice to see the roof, surfboard delete version

20230427_141240.thumb.jpg.ecc07bc033c3ff5a235ce5196b547257.jpg

This is a good find though. I have a few Dardas but chrome with roof intact is my new favourite

This is the best buy though. No idea who made this slot car set but I love it! Came with an extra, tatty buggy that has writing on the base, clearly the same as the other two though. Now if only we knew someone @flat4alfawho knew about these things...

Out in the truck again today on my usual Trans-Scotland run. Before setting off I had a quick nip to Morrisons for snacks and stuff (yes, and Hot Wheels!)

So, a new feature, Tacho-break tat!

IMG_20230427_143829.thumb.jpg.dec7211fd1571a2107327d52bb7007a2.jpg

It seems I must have a Morrisons-Nemesis. That entire fresh new case from last week has been absolutely raided! However I found this lying behind the case. I like the HW older 911s, and IIRC someone said on here that this is subtly different to the other Outlaws releases (of which I have all the mainline ones I think), so grabbed it.

IMG_20230427_143933.thumb.jpg.d073218a651f3394b908e8da7cb9c61d.jpg

Another one behind the case. I assume being the leccy version, it's a newer casting than the previous 500s. Quite a bonny little thing.

IMG_20230427_144011.thumb.jpg.b9735ae2be1ac414400f06d57c5f1511.jpg

And hiding on a clipstrip in the homeware section...

Yes! Get in! Another I've been trying to hunt down from the last two cases. Strange mix of long and short cards in that store this week. This means that they have most likely had the Audi and red Escort at some time as well. Bah!

IMG_20230427_144049.thumb.jpg.5d67ab3ee9c6e1229fbb46ff7c59fe56.jpg

A belter this one, though. Is this RS a new casting too?

After getting the black Norev BX from Datsuncog I wanted to photograph it with the others I have.

The red one is a 1/12 scale plastic dealer model by Vullierme that I bought from @Vantman many years ago now. Its brilliant. I also have a boxed AX from the same range which I got from @mk2_craig, also quite a few years ago now.

The green one is a Guisval in about 1/32 scale which I have had for well over 25 years. Great* mid 1980s accuracy* from them, as always:

The BX models well and seems hard to get wrong due to its origami-esque lines. I'm not sure I'd have a real one but the contemporary fractional versions are right up my street.

Dinky based their Buggy on the Renegade. Not many were built, only a few hundred.

It's difficult to have a favourite, especially when you change what you collect.

I do not have any of my childhood toys left, having a brother who was nine years younger saw to that.

What I do have is an old matchbox that triggers my earliest memory of playing with one. It's a yellow F-Type Victor. I have  very distant memory of dropping into the drain that was in teh middle of the patio, and digging it out covered in silt and dead leaves.

One of my others is a Green Mini Magnifique that reminds me of the one I took to school and promptly wrecked racing it up a wall and letting it fall to the grond.

Yes I had to send Vantman some ideas of the prices they went for when he told me the tiny sum he wanted for it as I would have felt guilty otherwise. The AX was a similar situation. This place etc!
