It’s bizarre how these toy fairs have better cheaper stuff than the car boot?

There's plenty of £10 tatty corgis and £3-5 Matchbox as well, picked up a repainted Dinky Big Cat that had blacked out windows too - £26!

You just have to rummage through all the tat boxes to find the bargains, no seller is an expert on everything.

Saw one of these too but again, too much money

He also had a Glo Racer BMW, but at £15...

I also bought a couple* of the Hot Wheels I found in my local shop - good job I had some extra funds today!

I picked one of those up a while back but I didn’t give a lot for it, maybe £1-2? I figured the racing Corgis weren’t that desirable?

I don't think they are - I just hadn't seen an orange one before. One will turn up eventually

@Datsuncogwill remember this infamous broken Metrobus rescued from Market Blokey's Big Box of Buses. I cleaned the accumulated filth off for an immediate improvement but since then it's been sitting around while I pondered what to do about the damage.

Metrobus1.thumb.jpg.b88d199dfbbdd49fb27ce1de4f8b99c4.jpg

Then at a model show last Saturday I stumbled across a complete top deck assembly for an ABC Models Metrobus on sale for £2. I really didn't ever expect to find such a thing so it was swiftly purchased and I now have a roadworthy bus that owes me less than a fiver. Yes, I've done the opposite of what usually happens in reality and put a roof back on an open-topper, and I need to fill in the hole for the side route number and do something about the livery, but it has a new lease of life now.

Postie man comes bearing gifts. A little while ago I got sent a link via PM to one of the awful Chinese VOIKOWAGENG VW LTs. Didn't buy it, because I found a Chad Valley one in the box for less!

There was a decrepit one at the toy fair with a slightly better but still incorrect spelling of Volkswagen, but I knew this one was en route.

Same seller also had this Matchbox Corvette still in the pack

Washed up and buffed off some of my £4 each Corgis from the toy fair me and @bunglebus visited. Not everything was a bargain there, but these unpriced beauties* were with a train vendor. In the worlds easiest haggle they dropped to £4, and though must need tyres the glass is all good! Still £4 each!

Hi folks - this has come out of my parents shed. I think I used to play with it, so at least 30-35 years in there (well, probably a previous shed!). Does anyone want to restore it for cost of postage? Main problem is one track is almost snapped.

Well, the top half is. Strangely it could be the same bus in two different stages of its life as the top deck came from ABC model 000812 of China Motor Bus fleetnumber ML22, which later became a City Sightseeing Sydney open-topper!

That's the No70 dodge dragster, with the decal from the No8 wildcat Mustang.

The No62 Cougar is the Rat rod.

Nice find.

I knew what I meant! Gets confusing with decals on the wrong cars. I was thinking about this one when I posted earlier

This came along with the DODGE dragster from the other day - as with the majority of them, the rear suspension was broken. Except it wasn't, it seems the axle can escape from under the plastic suspension part, so it can be clipped back in. Worth checking if you came across this problem, I nearly chucked it in the eBay pile and it's pretty tidy

In the meantime, I've been messing about with this Matchbox Speed Kings Caper Cart for far too long. Finally got it good enough to lay on a few coats of metallic red and add a bit of detail.
