Thank you, that's great.  I should probably make it clear that the three I initially asked about, by name, are the ones I want!  The others that I couldn't identify are unlikely to be any use to me, but thanks for the info there.

Picked these up on my travels on Friday and as they are  no use to me someone else can have them. 13" wheel trims Part no NAM 6544 from i am guessing a montego or maestro, pick up from Dorset or can post at cost, all have some scuffs and one quite bad but good for everyday use to save your good ones for special days out.

Anyone want a black ash effect chipboard desk? No chips or scratches on the top. 131cm wide, 69 deep and 74 tall.

Has trunking on the back panel rear for cables. Will flat pack.

Collect from gu19.

EDIT. Now gone to great recycling centre in the sky.

Posted

Great eddy ramrod, when will you collect;-)

It does sound like a lovely desk, but you're a bit off my beat, I'm afraid, even if I had any space.  GLWTS!

Posted

It's a desk I picked up for free off a neighbouring company in 2001. I have just ordered a new oak desk from listers in Chester. Rather than chucking it away, and having sold the only car it would fit in three years ago, I am looking for it to go away to a good home. In fact any home, the 1980s desk isn't picky!

Plastic pond filter tank (63 x 42 x 45cm) with lots of small plastic "cups" (presumably filter media) and associated hoses.

This stand which was used as a movable engine stand with optional drip tray support in the workshop but not sure what it was originally.  Height 1m max and allan key adjustable, has been used to support the weight of a 60Kg assistant. It can be taken to bits for moving but has to go soon. Rusty orange J A Prestwick engine wrapped in curtain for size comparison.  Ensconced at GU2 7XH

Lol! Telly/video stand. They used to stick one of those 1980s big-arse telly's with that crappy wood effect around it on top, a silver video tape player with huge selector buttons and wheel them into classes when they wanted to show some of sex education/social video. I bet it started its life in a school or college.

Dink,

Got book today, Thanks, boy its heavy could use it to chock the car!

Or Threads if you were unlucky.

Remember that, still have a copy - to be watched when I want to be really depressed.

Posted

I once watched Threads then Midnight Express in that order one night, I've never felt that thoroughly depressed in my life. Worst bit of Threads is the shot of a bloke on a bike on fire stuck in a tree or when it goes silent as 100 megatons explode above Rackhams on Fargate.

Posted

I don't think there is a 'worst bit' of Threads, is there? It's just unremitting misery throughout. I dread to think what effect it would've had on me if I'd seen it as a kid.

Posted

I saw Threads on the one and only time the BBC showed it.

It was terrifying as a thirteen year old. But, we also got Nena and FGTH so it wasn't all bad, eh!

Have the dvd and keep watching it to remind myself how lucky I am not to live in Sheffield.
