1986 Fuego Turbo :D

Comes with the original 14" alloys and steering wheel. In the process of trying to find a stock exhaust.

Just working out when I am gonna pick it up as I live on the Wirral and the car is in Devon, hopefully have it on Friday :D

Someone on here bought it! Excellent! I managed to buy a new Fuego Turbo exhaust system on ebay for 99p about 18 months ago when I needed one. Good luck, and I'm looking forward to more pictures! :D

Just been looking at the listing. It's bloody lovely.

Great buy. Well worth the money.

As Ive just said on RR, a lovely looking car you've got yourself.

Im chuffed is now in the 'family' so to speak.

That is lovely!, I do like these having grown up opposite a Renault dealer in the 80's and watching them all come of the car transporters.

Are those rear lights standard?, They look a bit smoked to me?.

Jeepers what a stunner! That'll be a right nice drive back and it's some distance that.

Posted

Thats fantastic, nice one!!

My father will be jealous, he lusted over those throughout the eighties and early nineties!

Dash gives fabulous memories of my old Fuego - but you've got a boost gauge!

Well worth the money. Clio wheel suits it.

I've always had a soft spot for the Fuego and I took a look at that listing too. There used to be a couple of them near to where I used to live and admired them back then. There’s just something about the curve of that rear screen which is so 'right'.

Great interior too! I much preferred these to the likes of the Capri. Looks in lovely nick for it's age too.

I must admit, whilst I like originality, those alloys don’t look too bad on them. Personally, I’d prefer to see the originals back on it, but those Clio ones really don’t look bad at all. I don’t recall smoked rear lights being something on any of them, but willing to stand corrected. Pah….just little personal niggles on what’s otherwise a real beauty. An excellent buy!

As a side note if you’re driving it back from Devon, it's very much worthwhile doing a detour over the original Severn Bridge (grin and bear the toll), then off through the Wye Valley / Forest Of Dean and then up the A49. I always do the reverse of that when I go down that way every year.

That's an absolute stunner!! There's a bloke in Lancashire who specialises in Renault turbo bits, and he has a yard full of Fuegos. Not that far from you, really.

Ooooh, a Fuego! Cool!.

I had a GTX once... for about 20 minutes. I liked it.

Posted

I like that. A lot.

Amongst other things, it looks like the perfect car to play Jean-Michel Jarre's music in 8)

Posted

Thats lush 8)

If you do take the A49 feel free to pop in for a cuppa at Ludlow, I live right next to it :D

Awesome car! Get used to people saying "Same rear screen as a Porsche you know!"

Posted

I'm sure the original wheels would have been very stylish! Get 'em on!

Looks a gorgeous car!! 10/10!!

Thanks for all your comments folks, hoping to get the car picked up Thursday, on a low loader coz I'm a lazy fecker :D

Original wheels are coming with the car and will be fitted.

I am interested to find out where this Renault place in Lancashire is, could do with a back box for it :D

It's in Great Harwood, near Blackburn. It's called Renault Turbo Spares, run by a chap called John Tittrington.

Awesome. Please remove those awful Clio wheels forthwith.

Once I take delivery I'll be giving him a call, maybe do a deal on the current back box for a stock one? :D
