My 1981 924 and her 2006 CooperS behind. About as much fun as I can keep roadworthy.

We've certainly got enough between us for a damn good show!

Um…where do we pull the line for classic? Anything 90s somehow sounds too new for the tag, but it’s pushing well past 30 years now. So I guess in a way… 😅

The ones I do consider classic:

IMG_8006.jpeg.0c86a9d8feb8d7c29f3f3142a0467e77.jpeg

‘79 Mini Special. Currently dead. Head gasket.

IMG_9903.jpeg.f56c2e363c01ceac4fbc8cd3172e4563.jpeg

‘76 VW Beetle. Awaiting bodywork.

IMG_9904.jpeg.9a77924ab16b1926021674b276eac1d3.jpeg

‘84 Mk1 Golf. Last seen looking sad in my parents’ garden. I guess it qualifies now as well.

IMG_9905.jpeg.8a5dc3b3df663b5491c170a5a2b6bfcb.jpeg

‘81 IIRC BMW E21. Utterly rotten, awaiting bodywork. No, it’s not 320, it’s 315.

Does BX Break qualify? Yugo (cabrio)? 155s? 626 GE?

Yes.

Yes they do, absolutely.

What is the truck? Pinzgauer? (I should have suggested Laplander......I'd have a better chance of spelling it!)

Yes, that was who I bought it from more than 20 years ago. They used it as a command and control truck at outside events.

Right, where do I start? I’ll start with my favourites and decent ones and may descend into the rougher ones.

I have missed a few where I cannot find pictures but you get the gist, I quite like Cortina’s, Granada’s and 70’s cars in general.

:-)
Couple of my cousins worked for them back then (before it went to G4) - I never knew they got to play with your Cumnock Beastie.
I think I can remember some blurb in the Ayrshire Post back when the opened the factory there (but that could be just my imagination)

Nice.  I have a big soft spot for that era of them.  First vehicle I ever drove fully under my own control was a white one on an A plate.  Think I was 11 or 12.

That the proper big 4.0 diesel?

Others range from pre war Morris and Rolls Royces, through all sorts including a Bentley T2 Turbo and an AC Cobra through to my most modern a 2007 Saab 9-3 SW. Too many to list here but covered in my thread:

Certainly be enough to put on a good show with what we have amongst us.

I doubt this one will be a surprise to most people here, been with me since late 2008:

Now in the company of the '99 LS400 (which feels too new to be described as a 'classic', and annoyingly FJ don't see it that way when it comes to insurance).
