Um…where do we pull the line for classic? Anything 90s somehow sounds too new for the tag, but it’s pushing well past 30 years now. So I guess in a way… 😅

The ones I do consider classic:

‘79 Mini Special. Currently dead. Head gasket.

‘76 VW Beetle. Awaiting bodywork.

‘84 Mk1 Golf. Last seen looking sad in my parents’ garden. I guess it qualifies now as well.

‘81 IIRC BMW E21. Utterly rotten, awaiting bodywork. No, it’s not 320, it’s 315.

Does BX Break qualify? Yugo (cabrio)? 155s? 626 GE?

Yes, that was who I bought it from more than 20 years ago. They used it as a command and control truck at outside events.

Couple of my cousins worked for them back then (before it went to G4) - I never knew they got to play with your Cumnock Beastie.
I think I can remember some blurb in the Ayrshire Post back when the opened the factory there (but that could be just my imagination)

Nice.  I have a big soft spot for that era of them.  First vehicle I ever drove fully under my own control was a white one on an A plate.  Think I was 11 or 12.
