Shitefest Cornwall . 15/16th August 26

[fatharris]

Excellent write-up and amazing photos, thank you!

The Merc belongs to a lad called Breok, who bought @twosmoke300's Merc off him.

Sorry you had such a rotten trip home!

As was discussed with Mr @Talbot over the SF weekend, in situations like the closure at Stoke, we were merely inconvenienced. It's entirely possible someone involved in the incident has had it WAY worse off.
The Police exercise bringing the entire motorway, both directions, to a standstill and causing 5 mile tail backs either way can get directly in the fucking bin though. I know they need to do training but surely they must have known that the road was closed further south and there is a high probability a lot of folk were caught in that and then had to sit in their shit anawl.

Loved the build-up, travelling, entertainment, car-relays home and the anti-climaxes. Would have loved to be there, thanks all for sharing.

You could pretty much have got 15 just with the Fiat Ducato question.

@davidfowler2000. woman_df2k - great photos of the clubhouse quiz. You might be sneaky with camera but you are a bloody good photographer. Cap dothed.

[Rightnider]

It looks like you had a good time. I hope to be able to make it one (next?) year.

Many thanks to @twosmoke300 and @fatharris, and their Cornish relations/friends for arranging this, a nice relaxed Shitefest with lots of interesting things to do.

I am quite annoyed I only got 13 in the quiz!

@beko1987 We drove past a black J10 Qashqai earlier, same as my old one and my lad started talking about Shitefest again.

'Dad, that was cool that we went to that car meet where you were Dick Cheeseburger and you met the man with the Qashqai which had parts from our old car on it.'

Still chuckling!

Awesome! I assume we'll be seeing him and you next year then? 👌

Excellent photos mate!

[lisbon_road]

The car meet was really good.  Whilst obviously @auntiemaryscanary Corsa was the most popular vehicle, there were other interesting ones such as this Ford Thames recovery truck.

[lisbon_road]

This Triumph is also a fine vehicle, being examined by a motley crew.  I clearly remember that these didn't seem to go as rusty as more or less every car at the time.  A strange colour but I reckon it really works on this car.
