It's time for another exciting adventure of surprise and joy. You join me in the taxi on a crisp but beautiful Thursday morning. This one will span over a few days so strap in!

Apparently you cannot take a bunch of sockets and a ratchet in your hand luggage because "you could take the plane apart". That's the first time I heard that one...

You can add that to Mazda Millenia bootlid/reg plate panels as the items that British airlines won't allow...

I checked them in as hold luggage, we have things to disassemble on our way back!

If you're flying out on a Boeing product, you may be able to make the case that you'd need to keep the socket set on you to put the plane back together?

@Schaefft.. Bon Chance (... with airport security 🙄)

I used to attend retail/pub outlets at Newcastle Airport, on 'Air side', and had to be checked in - downstairs at the security suite - how I was supposed to take apart a till drawer/touchscreen WITHOUT a screwdriver in my toolkit was a good one... *the craft knife [twin towers] was unremarked upon 👀

Landed, after car and plane we are now on the bus. This won't be the last mode of transport.

Is it a v8?

Yes, one that I haven't owned yet either!

Slightly depressed I immediately recognised that as the A38 even before I got to the bridge shot. Don't forget to say 'cheers drive' when you get off...

(I have no real clue what other V8s have been owned in the past)
XKR was my thoughts but, seeing as you've beat me to it, same engine in a DB7?

This will be interesting, I love a long collection caper.

Several days suggests something unavailable in the UK. Something extremely large and American, perhaps.

Some good suggestions so far, it'll take a little while before we reach the car so have this fish for now:

I went out with her. Good to see she's looking well.

An engine-swapped DB7 would be an interesting one. I've never heard of that swap

After a nice lunch in a surprisingly nice establishment we are once again at Bristol Temple Maeds.

The train is actually waiting already, last time they just cancelled it without warning. No opening windows or A/C  will make for a cozy* atmosphere 😬

Aha... I think I know what this is due to a mutual friend mentioning it in a discord server.

I may be wrong, knowing what you're like.

Are you going to St Andrews Road to then walk a mile to BCA to get it?

Oh no wait, that was me two weeks ago.

?????

After reading a few late 80s CAR magazines where they praised pretty much every Italian car they got their hands on it actually wouldn't be too much of a surprise!

We are now at our next destination. I'm almost getting Mediterranean vibes here right now.

Having done that before I’ve got the proper kit for the job now

This might be the only collection thread that involved a swim in a rooftop pool (photos not allowed so have this one from the owners):

Yes we are still in Bath. The journey will continue for me tomorrow, apparently taking another 4 hours before I can finally lay my eyes on a particularly fine motor vehicle for the first time. There's also going to be the bucket I bought somewhere I'm sure.

Thema 8.32 would be sick, especially as facelift. Someone find me one for under 3k!
