And not just any car either! Too bad we didn't know before. For everyone else: I'm actually flying down to Bristol for my own collection tomorrow...

THIS 3.5 V6 LAND YACHT IS CHEAPER TO TAX THAN A TESLA

I'm somehow so grateful yet so annoyed at the same time.

Godspeed, I guess?

To be clear - I have fucking ALWAYS wanted a 3.5 V6 Vel Satis, ever since being a passenger in a nearly new one.

The chap that had that replaced it with a 750iL, which is the fastest I’ve ever been driven in a mobile living room, with an ex police driver at the helm.

How much is it costing to fly domestically out of interest? I have never actually flown within the country before just via train as the country doesn't seem big enough to warrant it but maybe one day.

£35

I normally avoid domestic flights where possible but it’s a long old day if you spend 4.5 hours on trains before a 5 hour drive home

Sounds a lot cheaper than a train too? I would guess that journey would be something more like £100

£198, though I’m sure much cheaper once you do the split ticket thing etc

This was almost invariably the case when I was regularly running backwards and forwards between Aberdeen and Milton Keynes back around 2005.  Train was usually near enough double the cost of the easyJet flight to Luton.  I'm sure if you did some rocket science involving splitting the journey into separate bits and chose exactly the right times, booked exactly the right time in advance you could get it cheaper - but I didn't have the patience for that sort of nonsense.

Only option which was routinely cheaper was the coach - which was also usually quicker than the train if you took the 590.

Nice one, should be a awesome drive home.

jnc 27 M1 Markham vale has a Maccys with a drive thru right next to the motorway, I find it easier than pissing about at the services

Hear me out lads.

We know exactly what time he lands. We could lob him in the boot of a Sandero and throw him into the sea.

My flight from Newcastle to Bristol was 25 quid, last time it was even cheaper. Since you get through Newcastle airport in less than 30mins and the flight is only 50mins long it's a no brainer really.

Started thinking about some of the fettling this is probably going to want since I’ve got some time to kill between now and collection day.

Gearbox service has to be pretty high on the list. Seems easy enough* and it’s a box used in loads of different stuff as far as I can tell.

Never mind the gearbox.

Just get the fire extinguisher serviced.

Not wishing to be a knob but, Markham Vale is J29a, if @Kiltox comes off at J27, other than Trudys Tasty Treats, theres bugger all there.

Surely the presence of Trudy's Tasty Treats means there's burger all there...

I see what you did there! I've sampled some of Trudys Tasty Treats, tasty and treat are not words I'd associate with her comestibles, he'd do much better with Greggs, Maccys or KFC at Markham Vale.
