Yes definitely I think the full loop is actually a double loop - the little one to get to the food, a chance for folk to gather, and then on to the bigger loop after an early lunch perhaps.

There are other places to stop for food on the way around if needs be, it's not going to be a race.

I have been chased by the heritage centre for numbers for food, but I think Ive only had one or two vague replies, so my plan is to let them know we're unlikely to make an impact to their trade for the day

I intend to do the full loop via Scotland and then hopefully get tea and a scone at the train cafe

Fuck it, put me down for camping Fri - Sun.

I don't actually have a camping stove or anything like that, I just assume (hope) plenty of other people will.

I have a tent and a sleeping bag etc though.

I've plenty of camping cooking/eating out of stuff you can use.

Yeah, I should be good for a day trip on the Saturday. Weather looks decent so I'll hopefully take the long way there in the pointy German car with the engine in the wrong place.

Don't worry, neither do I. I don't think anyone's ever really noticed, but whenever I'm camping I subside entirely off beer, water and ham and cheese sandwiches.

I only bought a tent in 2023!

I recently readjusted the felt seal in the ram air vent so it fully opens/closes.

So, yes.

I'm mostly thinking of the last Twixfest I made it to,  were it started ejecting high pressure coolant out of the radiator core at the top of that hill. 😂

Good job we're not going that far this time.

I'll be heading up on the Sunday for a bacon sandwich in a train followed by a nice Sunday drive, assuming the Panda is fixed and back on the road by then (which it really ought to be if the problem with it is only the aux belt).

Torn between going on the gravel road and going over the border into Scotland. I wanna do both.

Scotland plans to bring geometric breakfast items on the Saturday. Supplies will be limited to first come / first serve basis.

More prep.

I got some sterilising tablets for the water container and pump which proceeded to spit some goo out when I ran it.
