Phwoar! Get a load of those squirty jets.

My Acclaim CD had headlamp washers. Had a few Volvos with wipers. Definitely a feature for the connoisseur.

This should be reported to the admins for pornography. Dirty doesn't even begin to describe this

My dad had a Chrysler Alpine GLS with headlamp wipers. Kermit the frog green with a black vinyl roof, tinted glass and electric front windows. Decadent stuff back in 1978!

My Cavalier GSis had headlight wipers/washers. I always thought they were a pretty smart feature - apart from Father Longbridge's J plate Sierra Saph which also had them back in the day, I can't think of any other cars I've owned, or driven which have had them fitted. Proper 80s gem.

I don't remember my Cav setup sounding this shit tbf.

My 24v Senator had headlamp wipers. When the Omega was introduced they didnt bother  putting them on it for some strange reason. Cost maybe ?

Higher spec Omegas got headlight washers, which imo arent that useful without wipers.

Facelift Omegas hot HID lights which need clean lenses to be effective, but still only got washers without wipers.

Omega also got plastic lenses instead of glass - a pet hate of mine, but seem universal now. Maybe wipers are no use on plastic lenses ?

Thats progress for you.

I think headlight wipers got outlawed by pedestrian impact rules, probably in the 90s which is why they disappeared.

I always love Rolls-Royces effort, nothing common like rubber blades, only the finest badger hair ( probably)!

My 740 has headlamp wipers, naturally.

They work great*.

I've since removed the wiper arms...

Do I get any bonus points for body coloured headlamp wipers? 😄

My 1998 Reg'd 940 had them fitted  but they used to stick at inappropriate angles and looked wanky wonky. So I disabled them - doesn't snow enough here to need them?

My Senator still has fully functioning headlamp wipers. I did post a vid of them some time ago on my thread, love them!

I've just realised what that sounds like ....you know at the end of Terminator and it's dragging itself through the hydraulic press ......that

For sheer quality .....look how perfectly the wiper blade fits the headlight ...

Russian designer " the wiper is to big "

Russian bean counter " the Mafia make them "

Designer " they fit perfectly "

Both my 940s had bollocksed headlamp wipers, though on the ‘98 (only 5 years old when I bought it) 50% of them worked. My only Volvo with functioning items was the’92 850

That washer pump sounds like a proper animal! I guess it needs to keep up with its V8 neighbour...

I feel sad - I only have washers, no wipers

I would have been around 7 years old when my parents bought their Vauxhall Royale saloon. I was fascinated with the headlamp wash wipe function on it.

I always liked the ones on the Saab 99 with their "squeegee" wipe pattern. The wiper arms even match with the chrome strip on the grille which is a nice bit of design.
