Good thread idea. I posted this one in six cylinder's thread a while back - the 924 and Fuego have always looked similar to my eye.

Simca 1300 and Fiat 124.  Simca were independent from Fiat by this stage but the two cars are very similar in appearance and engineering, so possibly there was still collaboration behind the scenes.

I always thought the arse end treatment of the early HRV looked like an oVlov V70 plonked on top of a lifted chassis. Screenshot_20240120_085920_Chrome.thumb.jpg.da56900e3b53348ed0dfc604d42cba3d.jpg

FE Victor/Audi 100 Avant.

I consider the Vauxhall FE estate to beinfluenced by the 1971 AMC Hornet Sportabout. :)

And those 'Marina door handles' were perhaps influenced by the 1969 AMC Hornet sedan. :o

It’s a commonly known untrue fact that they share the same glass hatch, however on the Fuego it’s mounted the other way around.

Just the grilles, but did the FIAT  grille designer tasked with updating the Punto look out of the window at the local Suzuki dealer and thought 'that'll do, job jobbed, I'm off to my mistress for the afternoon'?

They were co-operating on the Sedici/SX4 back then so maybe some crossover in the design departments on the other models?

And the Humber did not arrive until 1957  - by which time it already looked somewhat old-fashioned.

That design proposal by Pininfarina reminds me of something else from the front...
