sdkrc Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Rolls Royce did some absolute club banger interiors in the 70s-90s. I'm talking mainly about these velour ones with deep and unique colours. Please post any fascinating interiors be they spectacularly dull, luxurious or unique. Bonus Alfa 166 velour A beautiful diesel Camry Volvo 240 Mystery japanmobile crad, AnnoyingPentium, Cheggers and 9 others 12
SiC Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Porsche in the 90s/00s allowed pretty much any colour combinations that you fancy if you paid them enough. So you got some right wacky interiors. I remember @cort16 remarking that this must be what being an inside of a toothpaste tube is like. The wood trim on the wheel really sets it off a treat. Not sure if this is stock though. Possibly the purple bits are. CreepingJesus, AnnoyingPentium, warch and 8 others 5 5 1
SiC Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Even the Boxster concept car had a pretty gaudy interior colour combination sdkrc, AnnoyingPentium and grogee 2 1
Soundwave Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I'll go for the obvious one, the Rover 200 BRM. Quilted red leather? In a Rover 200? Madness. somewhatfoolish, AnnoyingPentium, Muniphobia and 8 others 11
captain_70s Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Volvo quite liked colourful options... grogee, Lacquer Peel, AnnoyingPentium and 7 others 10
sdkrc Posted April 2, 2023 Author Posted April 2, 2023 Audi S8 D2s came with some pretty cool colours. I saw some purple ones like this for sale, a few dug dick red ones and some green ones. I think it's blown out of the water by the regular A8 cloth one. Some bonus ones: MK1 twingo. I love some exposed, uninsulated metal on my doors. 7 series Can't remember what this one is grogee, Lacquer Peel, warch and 2 others 5
Clunk Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Winner for me is the seats in the Metro 1.3S, especially in green as in the brochure (Which I can't find a picture of), so here is some in brown. somewhatfoolish, Fat_Pirate, GrumpiusMaximus and 4 others 7
Soundwave Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 The Merc W126 range came with some pretty funky velour options. Ribbed, for extra pleasure. cort16, MiniMinorMk3, Wibble and 8 others 11

Cheggers Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 TVR Tamora. Probably made up of whatever they had laying around the floor of the trim shop at the time. sdkrc and warch 2
Asimo Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Not quite as squishy, but still available into the 21st century. Cadillac Deville. Hardly ever seen with cloth outside Japan. . Ford F150. The perfect truck cab, calm and comfy. BMC at it’s best, Riley 4/72. Took my driving test sat there. Be bold, buy Lagonda. MiniMinorMk3, Clunk, Lacquer Peel and 6 others 9

These were specced by the dealer and also came with the extended leather package. I don't know what the hell they were thinking picking these colors but they are rare cars. Also shameless self plug, the glorious brown interior of the Corona: grogee, sdkrc and Lacquer Peel 3
808 Estate Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Some Lincoln Continental plushness. eddyramrod, CreepingJesus, somewhatfoolish and 12 others 15
Rocket88 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Porsche pasha….. KWhite, CreepingJesus, sdkrc and 3 others 6
warch Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 On a similar note to Cheggers, the delightfully restrained TVR Tuscan. I also like the utter and complete lack of ergonomics, presumably due to having to have the transmission in the car with you. sdkrc, Ohdearme and grogee 2 1
Supernaut Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I quite enjoyed the sea of blue velour in that Saab 9000 I had a couple of years ago. The walnut sideboard posing as a dashboard really set the whole thing off, too. AnnoyingPentium, Lacquer Peel, sdkrc and 3 others 6
warch Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I suppose 70s custom vans ruled the roost for outlandish interiors/serial killer chic. Behold! LightBulbFun, eddyramrod, AnnoyingPentium and 3 others 6
Soundwave Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 On a more modern note... Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo edition, 2014-2018. Only available with this interior: ... it's what made me go for the Colour Edition when I bought my Fabia, rather than the Monte Carlo. Despite the latter's superior spec, I didn't want to pay ££££ for a car only for it to look like it has Poundland seat covers that can't be removed. Thankfully the 2019 facelift gave the MC edition some more normal interior options. This interior looks OK-ish with a red car, but looks absolutely shite with any other colour. AnnoyingPentium and sdkrc 2
Split_Pin Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 The original design for the Rover 75 interior was ostensibly unchanged if you ticked the Personal Line colour options. Only available for a few years after launch it manages to look busy and fluid at exactly the same time. This Neptune one is a pre-launch car. sdkrc, KWhite, LightBulbFun and 10 others 13
sutty2006 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I’d have loved this 220 interior when I messed about with the mk3 mondeos. AnnoyingPentium, warch, sdkrc and 2 others 5
mat777 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I always loved the shotgun wood and engraved door handles in the Holland and Holland edition Range Rover.... AnnoyingPentium, sdkrc, warch and 3 others 5 1
wesacosa Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 warch, MiniMinorMk3, AnnoyingPentium and 2 others 5
warch Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I must be a bit of a chav. I keep looking at these and thinking... actually I quite like that. cort1977 and wesacosa 2

sutty2006 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 And the one I really wanted, a6 Allroad Java brown interior. Mmmm Supernaut 1
Zelandeth Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 How much brown would you like sir? LightBulbFun, CreepingJesus, wesacosa and 4 others 7
