I’m sure this one will have come up before based on her extensive collection of 70s and 80s stuff but here’s Lady Gaga being chauffeured in her Mercedes 300D

Rod Stewart & his 1971 Lamborghini Miura. The logo looks very much like a knob.

Star? Raving maniac more like, all the same...

The Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 'Trump Executive Series', when Donald Trump and Cadillac (actually NYC dealers Dillinger Gaines) joined forces to build the 'most opulent' limo ever.

The plan was to build 50 examples each of two slightly different models. The Trump Golden Series was meant to be the top version, complete with a fax machine, paper shredder (obvs), a TV and  VCR and plenty of rosewood trim, while the Trump Executive Series was meant to be a slightly less well equipped version of the same.

Only a handful were made, with a target market price of $80,000 a pop, in an economic climate (and country) not suited to chauffeur-driven personal luxury limousines, designed for entrepreneurs like Trump with approximately the same taste in cars as Trump, it's hardly surprising.

Is this because it's an NI number @LightBulbFun?

Sorry, the star* is missing, but this is Brezhnev's unusual 6 door Mercedes-Benz W100 Pullman. It's now in private hands.

When it's a toss-up between spending money on rallye-style spotlamps or on better tailoring, I think we all know the right answer...

Hey @LightBulbFun, what site did you use to extract that info.

a commercial one that I pay for, primarily for Invacar research, tho in recent times its become a bit shite, anything thats been untaxed for any real amount of time it claims it cant find any record for which I know is bollocks, been meaning to get onto the phone and ask them what the deal is with that, but I digress

although I fear its a back end issue, I know my tool primarily gets that data from experian, and other tools that use Experian back ends are similarly affected

for example https://www.freecarcheck.co.uk/

is a good tool that provides a nice bit of data including plate changes, it uses the same back end as the tool that I pay for, but now like my comercial tool, you cant look up anything thats been off the road for any length of time, when in the past you could

but yeah for recent stuff if your just looking for plate change history, use the free car check, although sometimes I notice not all plate changes show up (again they used to but, enshittification seems to be on the prowl sadly)
