Do you see real live shite from the comfort of your home??

Our laptop sits on a desk that faces one of our front windows and outside I have a view onto one of the main arterial roads heading across town. In the last 20 minutes I've witnessed passing my window a blue Citroen DS with a white roof & one red passenger door which in itself was something I was going to report on, but then not 5 minutes ago I also witnessed a red Citroen Dyane heading the same direction!! I'm waiting for a GS or Visa now...come on you can do it!!I'm going to have to set up a video camera to capture passing shite! In fact just as I've been typing this a white Austin 1100 just went past in the other direction! Earlier on today I caught sight of a silver MkI Escort going by & yesterday as I was walking back to the house a blue MkI Escort went past me. It's not even show season!! :D

Besides my own of course, a Rover 214 K-Sealies that's been parked by touch and has a different coloured bonnet, and some old Hyundai saloon thing belonging to a curtain twitching neighbour.

Can I ask what is your signature about?

Click it & see!

guy opposite me has/had an alfa 146, next door sometimes has a mark 4 escrote 3dr estate.... saw a shite old coach go past my bedroom window earlier, but usually i'm too busy rolling/smoking fags and drinking tea to pay much attention outside....

All within 100 yards of my house Fist off a black unplated Mini , been stood so long parts are alive 30 yards from there is a K plated Honda Prelude , its an export one and its so rotten the OSR wing has all but gone , ran fine when parked up 2 years ago , next door to them has some ratty looking Hyundia Saloon of some sort , over the road from them is an early Orion with a busted N/S headlight and crusty rear arches , same kids also got a Mini with a blown gearbox and almost no front wings .

Just my shite. I live in a dead end full of curtain twitchers.

Ahh well if we're broadening it to include shite in our neighbourhood not just shite you can see nearby or driving past your house, I live in a very long road which runs from the top of town right down to near the seafront. There's a driveway across the road containing a D reg Honda Accord Aerodeck thing & for company a red B reg MkIII Escort, neither ever move at all! The Honda has a busted driver's window & the Escort a dented & rusty rear wing plus the exhaust visibly hanging off! Another driveway further up the road has a light blue W reg Volvo 345 which looks in pretty good shape - must be one of the first of the non 343 shape! Waaaay back up the other end of the road is a driveway containing at least one MG badged vehicle, they normally appear on the street during the warmer months but I believe there's a late Midget & a late MGB. At one point last year there was a red Lancia Delta HF Turbo which was parked outside one of the houses for at least a couple of months. Seems to have gone now though. Walking back along that stretch yesterday, I snapped a light green Metallic W126 (?) S Class Mercedes, D reg I think. There's a house set back from the road slightly which used to have a red R reg Triumph 2000 saloon in the drive but it appeared to disappear sometime back :(

My Saturday morning walk to the papershop revealed only one Mk4 scote where there used to be two,a very tidy Mini, the rotting corpse of an old Mini that's been in the same state for years and (I've never seen before) an early Rover K-sealies in white. There used to be alot more in the village.A Renner Safranne that didn't move from it's drive for years,a Nissan Sunny with modern alloys,a Series Land Rover with a canvas roof and an Austin Farina to name a few.All seem to have gone now.

Not so much - my Sprinter is blocking the view  However, bloke over the road has a Sprinter ambulance part converted into a camper, theres a lovely MK2 Escort about two doors up and a Mk1 Mondeo opposite. All boring new stuff otherwise.

I'm in a cul-de-sac with people despairing of what I'll bring home next! No seriously I have really good neighbours. The only other shite in "The Close" is a Proton Wira although a guy up the road did have a Maserati Quattroporte for a while. Not sure if he still has it now but he runs one of the garages in the village.

the only shite cars i see from my house tend to belong to me or my dad an cause no end of embarasment to my mum! all our neighbours are middle aged, middle class an boring as .... so nothing else to report! :D

i have no neighbours

Pretty much the same here - I can see a lane outside one of the windows, but to actually catch a sight of anything moving on it is unusual. However, early yesterday evening I did see a Camry estate! But then Wuvvum got out and handed me the keys and V5 for it in return for some cash, so not really sure if that counts?

No shite in my street apart from mine, they all have social climbing 08 plates onwards.. Im the scourge of the neighbourhood lowering the tone

I also live in a dead-end street, but as everyone in this country owns 10+ year old JDM imports just about every car that passes is some sort of shite.

Posted

My nearest neighbour owns a grey Golf Mk5, he's thinking of selling it and buying an old banger instead. :) Across the road there's a girl who owns a mid-90s Corolla.I remember a time when everybody drove about in knackered old cars here, it was a real novelty to see a new car, let alone anything expensive. Now the village is full of horror show 4x4s like Cayennes and Range Rover Sports, usually driven by incomers who think they need a 4x4 because they live in the Highlands now.

Yes, I do see various chod. Currently the body shop across the road is fixorating a Mk2 Grandad Estate, and very tasty its looking too. Makes a refreshing change from the City Link delivery vans they usually do. From the bedroom window I can also see an early VW Beetle and some Nissan Z series thing.

Sadly (?) there isn't a single AS outside my house. I live in a peaceful Chiltern village and my house overlooks the village green. My immediate neighbour has a Boxster S and a BMW 528i saloon. The people two doors down have a Boxster and a BMW 525d estate. The neighbour on the other side has a new Golf TDi. Across the green I can see an Audi A4 cabrio, new shape C-class Merc, a Smart roadster and a Jaguar X-Type (future AS).

Here's a pic of my MR2 with my neighbours' Porsches:

The only shite in my road is my off the road crud and the wifes tatty but good work horse hole in the wing missing wheel trims M reg Polo, our neighbour has an immaculate M reg Corsa. The rest are all moderns, further up the estate is a nice blue MK2 XR2, and a guy with a track day Nova in his garage. There are a couple of yoofs with Scoobies, more annoying than anything else....I did spot a nice D reg Sunny coupe the other night, it was visiting some new people who have moved in behind us. The guy opposite used to have a Toyota Land Cruiser with all the lift kit and big wheels, bush bars, home made bumbers etc.....

He was popular as it was always covered in shit, has since been sold and replaced with a Suzuki Jimny.....

Loads of goodies in the village though, including a rough Healy 100/6 with aero screens, only comes out once in a while though. :)

Because I live on a high street, I have an unfair advantage with shite spotting.I see a few cars all the time, but I also see ones just passing through. I see a G plate Audi 100, 89 Scorpio, MKII Astra cab, MKIV Escort Van and a late eighties Prelude alot, but I also see off road Ladas, old Landies, various custom and kit cars owned by the same guy and all sorts of classics round summertime. There is more but I cant remember.

Peter you live next door to a pub?! You lucky git!.

I haven't got much shite outside mine as you can see from this photo I've just took apart from a Fiat Marea saloon across the road, Yesterday i looked out the window and saw a Silver A reg Honda Accord go past and i sometimes also see a Rover P6 pass by, But i do live one of the main road into town so i do get a lot of traffic pass at times.

The Rover 216 Vitesse is still parked in a driveway opposite. We're not far from the shops so do get interesting shoppers cars from time to time.

keef that online webcam "thing" is a fantastic idea.As for shite in my road..Just a citroen AX and a passing Y reg Fiesta Mk1 in brown, It's mint and i will have to get pictures !

Posted

Oldest is mine, 81 X reg, next up is the missus', a P reg, and the next is a new X reg Celica, then everything is 53/03 and newer. NOTHING.

My housemates Nissan D21 pickup is the oldest car on the street, followed my a neighbours Micra (M) and then my Ovlov. Other than a 406, there is nothing else notable in the street. The Neighbours hate us, due to us having various chod being a permanant fixture outside our house, '76 Hiace and a 101 Landy Ambulance. Nothing there now.. May have to do something about it
