But where's the engine? Surely it's not under the back seat and modifying a 914 front end to fit over a front engine would be an awful lot of work for no apparent reason. It looks cool but pointless.

Is a flat 4? If so given the height of the roof, I reckon you could get the back seats on top of it.

I can't see any ventilation so cooling must be a problem, and access for maintenance would be a nightmare. Reminds me of that Volkswagen project with its engine under the back seat that was abandoned for those reasons.

It's got grilles in the bumper so that suggests it's water-cooled with a radiator at least in the front.

How about the 914 Safari then? That's tasty and a bit daft shite too - I'm thinking Dall-e and the like will be churning out lots of the Matra Simca 914 crossover in the years to come.
