'Custom paintwork by popular French artist'

1) Gérard Depardieu in 'The Man In The Iron Mask With No Eye Holes'.

2) Marcel Marceau as he was coming down an invisible ladder with an invisible tin of Dulux in his hand.

3) Paul Cézanne after scoffing 17 tonnes of magic mushroom laden garlic boules.

As am I, but the tears of laughter and the paintjob still don't hide the godawful roofline of that old brick.

I love that J4! I've just added it to my watch list. I'm absolutely with the seller, it should be preserved as-is. This is just how they were.

Fark me, how fit is this?

Certainly not the cheapest but I defo would. Mind you for that he should replace the backbox.

Absolutely - though the back box does need to be changed for that price. Its twin (colour-wise, but only L-spec) went through Thornliebank auctions for about £1200 in early 1982 and Dad's hand was twitching, but he held out and bought a 1979 T-reg red one the next week. I wasn't here that time and was mightily pissed off!

That's lovely Craig, Turbo D as well!

Lovely bit of parking here. I'd sure be confident buying a lowered car from someone who thinks nothing of bumping it up a kerb onto a communal lawn.

'More details to follow later today. Got to go and plant the potatoes!'

Vanden Plas 1500 in the classic 70s mustard yellow (officially Autumn Gold!) with brown leather?

This Guy has owned this Car for Years and knows nothing about it (Really should have joined the ACI)

He Means it is Harvest Gold with Olive Leather but Looking at it ,It does look like Antique Gold which is a bit like Babypoo Green!

£1200 is a lot to pay for a Snot VP that needs a Respray ,£400 is a bit more like it :)

Not Ebay but a Vanden Plas 1500 Project for a Good Price--

P-reg VP 1500 automatic, Antique Gold (a muddy non-metallic green)

Transmission fault (has lost a few of its gears) and would need a few patches of welding to get another MoT. Bodywork in fair condition, good chrome, interior good apart from torn driver's seat. A few additional mechanical spares are included.

Available for scrap value (approx. £175)

Contact Austin Garages on 01283 528181 (Burton-on-Trent): they are selling on behalf of a customer.

Man, I'm getting sick of reading ads claiming cars are a 'barn find' or 'garage find'.

So you were clearing out some old tins of paint and found an Escort MK1 Mexico behind them? Oh right, yeah.

It's like the new 'IT R ELIJABALL 4 DA SCRAPIJ SKEEM SO IZ WURF £3000'.

Oh I know that hotel in the Cavalier pic! Cooden Beach.

'If you have any sensible questions then please email me'

'Hi M8 wud u swop 4 Corsa ortomatic?'

Im sure these were derided when they first hit the showrooms,"Cavalier convertible...?!?!!!" Mwahahahahahaha"

Now, I reckon, they are cooler than a Polar bears arse thats been sitting for weeks, stranded on an Ice flo.

They dont seem to make big money either.
