Can you imagine what the phone would have been doing if it was a Mk1 Escort though!

i dont know why i bother watching ebay items, they always get pulled early.

last 2 mg maestros on my watchlist have gone this way, and beige metro last night....

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Quite simple really. Sellers get fed up with mongs contacting them with inane questions [which train do I catch to get to Jersey] and sell the thing to the first person with 2 brain cells in full working operation, and a decent offer.........................

Hmm are those underseal tidemarks, or a Volvo paint-scheme that I am unfamiliar with? It's on my watch list anyway, not too far away and I think I could do with another load-lugger

That's underseal or hammerite. The later ones (1986 on) had grey or black plastic at the bottom of the panels, and panels were galvanised as well.

These 1981-1985 ones weren't galvanised and can rust as badly as anything else of the era.

I don't want an ambulance or a Ford Galaxy (wouldn't say no to a Galaxie however...) or in fact anything with a 1.9 TD lump, but that's in my watch list now.

How strange! Mine too! Let's not get carried away and bid each other out of the running!

That P6 on the other hand, is absolutely lovely, tide marks excepted, and looks fairly honest. Priced about right too.... Trig, you gotta make an offer at least!

That Rover P6 is lovely, Seems like a good price as well, It's in the same area i bought my 1602 from last year funny enough, I still can't decide if i want a big V8, Yes it would be great fun but i wonder if it's a bit over kill for me, I have to think about it.

Mean while...

I'm pretty sure this is 25v6turbo's old one, Except for the plate change.

Good lord that Alfa Six [sex?] is one hot piece of grotty automotive ass. Especially on those blinging wheels.

Posted

Hey that XR4i looks a bit interesting - Y reg and on an Essex number - press car perhaps...?

I should really keep up at the back, Didn't notice the R25 V6 was already posted on the Renault thread

No clear lenses, wanky stickers, corbeau buckets, checkerplate doorcards, sportpack arches etc. Just vinyl seats and a slugmatic gearbox. Minishite.

Hows I remember them and how they should always be imho!

That ALfa 6 is seriously wanky, I recognise the wheels from something else but I can;t put my finger on what?!?!

1989 Cadillac Allanté

This is that Italdesign one. Looks nice enough, not for me though.

1987 Cadillac Brougham Limousine

If I had enough money, I'd get this, attach some flags to the front for some obscure/disputed/long-gone country, then be driven around in it all day wearing a generals uniform, looking stern.

1995 Pontiac Bonneville

Alternatively, I'd get this and pretend I'm going on a Florida "fly drive" holiday circa the mid 90s. This would mostly be achieved by filling a suitcase with loud shirts, white trousers and a panama hat, then driving to different Days Inn locations across the UK. Also I'd set the video to record The Vicar of Dibley while I'm away.

1979 Mitsubishi Colt Celeste

I really like this, Never seen one before and it looks very cool, looks like a Renault 15/17 a bit.

Shame he's removing the number plate though.

They are lovely, one of my 1st smokers as an apprentice was a 1400 one. Am seriously tempted.
