Standard on a two door.I think so rear seat passengers can open the door when the front seat is tilted forward incase the door shuts before they get out.

Ditto - I had an HA saloon as my semi-daily for about 18 months, ragged the crap out of it and never had any suspension issues at all.

No, they're independent, but with a transverse leaf spring rather than coils or torsion bars. Heralds, Spitfires etc. had a similar arrangement at the back IIRC, as does my Innocenti.
