Weird Land Rover - Any ideas what that carbuncle on the roof is in aid of???

I reckon it's the 'control tower' from some half-arsed flying club.

 

Either that, or it was used in the arena at car shows as a 'studio' for the boring announcer with the nasal voice.

Yeah beige was a standard RS2000 colour its one of the rarer shades though along with Java Green which is a strange sort of green like bright asparagus!
