My Mrs has been chewing my ears off all morning. She doesn't know how lucky she is, if we were in the UK at the moment, I would be half way up the East Coast Mainline to bring that V6 Xantia home.

She's even lucker than you think - there's another one here, in Ascot this time. At £299 at the moment, finishes tomorrow evening. No MOT though so a bit of bravery required:

1. Fit steel wheels with 3 random wheeltrims

2. Change stupid front number plate

3. Begin destroying the ego of tailgaters in anything German made...

Fixed

He's put bigger brakes on though so you might have a job finding steels to fit :(

Posted

Rover 600 steels maybe? Oh, and it should also have SAGA and National Trust stickers in the back window. If you're really feeling adventurous perhaps a randomly coloured body panel?

Posted

Rover 600 has a different PCD. The discs look massive, I think you'd have to leave the gash wheels.

880 euros seems cheap, its only done 700km since new!!! The lad says 'HAS NOT BEEN USED', presumably for style reasons.

^Does the £6,000.00 asking price include blocks to put it on in the garden?

That white Granny Scorpio a page or so back is almost identical to the one FATHA_RML245 ran for a while when I was but a nipper. Apart from being broken, that is. Brilliant things, and very comfy.

Dead Horizon

Thanks, I now have that

stuck in my head:

I see the new horizon

My life has just begun

Beyond the blue horizon

Lies the rising sun

Granada=truly and utterly fricking horrific.

Right, cast your mince pies over this 'good easy project'

'Bodywork in good condition except the parts witch are shown in pitchers'

Yeah, looks stunning

So that's a knackered car, with shit pictures and a comically bad listing and it seems to have a petrol engine so you can't even fill it full of cherry and piss about on your small holding.

'apart from that she's looking great'

'Brief history for those that don't know this model: The Do-ming-oh was orginally built as a one off for the Japanese version of a British puppet kids show, though sadly the show never got off the ground because in Japan 'Sooty & Sweep' translates as 'Fanny Fungus and Weeping Penis'. Subaru, faced with mounting tooling costs running into tens of yen, decided to push on with the build anyhow and then planned to use them as dodgems in far Eastern travelling fairs. Again this was doomed to fail as everyone (except Subaru it seems) knew that 'bumper cars' translates to 'Enjoy glorious golden showers with your nan' so the project was once again scrapped.'

The pics "don't do it justice" - that's the best of them.

Ends in 30 mins, no bids.

Ta Joe! You're right, the pics are pretty poor. How often do we see that! You'd think people would learn... oh hang on, no, they're The Public, aren't they? Not a hope then.

Nova looks like a world of pain in the welding stakes, wonder what the battery tray is like?

Incidentally why do people hide the plates on old cars like this? What are the chances of some ASBO champion TWOC-er finding another pale blue Nova with non-existant arches covered in gaffa tape and cloning the reg off this one?

Tayne: that Coupe De Vile looks ace vfm, didn't realise they were so cheap tbh.

Man that crabby is perfect. Red interior and shiny black paint, plus the linear speedo. Would love something like that.

That 62 Cadillac is about right if it's as good as it looks. Far more interesting, in value terms, is the green 74 at 1/10th of the price! I certainly would!

This one, Tayne...

Cadillac3-vi.jpg

I bought it for less than that :D but you didn't have to stand too close to start spotting the blemishes, especially before I had the bonnet repaired. It was a long way short of being a top car, and I knew I couldn't afford to take it to that point, so I just enjoyed it as-was. Top examples can sell for the thick end of 20 grand. What can you buy for that money? To me, no contest, I'll take the Cadillac!
