It's a quaint old thing and a lovely story to think the old boy owned it since 1963, I know Coggeshall well as i grew near there and and have worked in the village as well, I may have even seen it driving about when i was younger.

I love this photo too!

I'd love this, it just needs driving round exactly as it is and when the MOT comes up it should only be fixed with bits of cardboard skimmed with fibreglass and filler...

You'd need to see a close up of the inner wings mind, they've probably got more holes than a tramp's vest.

That A40 Countryman is lovely! Also ideal for me as I've been after an old Austin van or estate as a daily for ages now. The 1489 B series is a good engine and a nice upgrade from the original (which to be fair, was woefully underpowered). I'll keep an eye on it but I'm sure it will go for well over my meagre budget :(

Isn't it just. I love the scruffy condition its in too, complete with badly welded up trafficator holes.

Even has crap date stamp pics for you!!!

I'd love it, what a lovely bit of kit 8)

Oh. My. Days.

That is just about THE perfect Cavalier. 999,999/1,000,000, the only slight downside is the fact it's a saloon not a hatch.

Look at it: the best colour, wheeltrims not alloys and totally unspoilt. There's nothing not to like there.

That Cav has had a light knock at the back. Bumper isn't straight and there are scuffmarks if you look.

Posted

That Scoobydoo van has the engine in a very dodgy place. A light tap on the arse end and the engine hits the axle!

Posted

That Granny estate is mega tempting, but I'm well out of space.

:lol::lol: What an utter turd fest that 5 is.

Meanwhile cast your eyes over this little love machine...

All of those of us with more advanced years will probably remember it must have been the law to have sticky out mirrors like this back in the day. I think you got expelled from the Landcrab/Volvo owners club if you didn't have them plus a Sprite Major caravan.

The seats look a bit modern/unsuitable for my liking but what a belting old bus that is.

'MY LEFT ARM DOES NOT WORK SO WELL'

Neither does my right after looking at this car.

Hard to tell from the vodka induced photography wobbles but looks like the really early 'Consul' bonnet badged model. These pre-airflow ones look WELL HOT.

'stand out from the boring euro box crowd'

FREAKIN RIGHT, BRO. Stand out from the boring Euro box crowd by buying a sleek, exciting U.S of Americanisms sports car. Or just lulz an offer on this wheezy old relic instead.

That's a reet tidy Aggro, I think you should have a go Alex!

Negotiations are ongoing, I've just been speaking to the seller on the blower tonight. Apparently it uses a bit of oil (full down to 3/4 driving 400 miles to brum and back) but is good apart from that. Apparently a trader has been around and bid him on it (THE DOCTOR? lol) but not enough. I've offered £50 below his lowest acceptable amount and I can't justify any more so its a bit of a stalemate, however if its not sold by next week it's mine apparently....
