Robins don't fall over readily either you know!:P

Engine access is MUCH better on the Kitten though. I'd definitely like one.

I don't think we've had this yet, It finishes in 2 hours and is just under £1000, only done 19000 miles from new and looks mint.

I actually emailed the seller for pics of the car when it first appeared on carandclassic a couple of weeks ago. It was a very polite email saying how I used to own one blah blah.... I was genuinely interested, despite it being in the middle of bumf**k nowhere.

Didn't get a response so I thought bollocks to it.

If you look at the bidding pattern, I reckon a mate of the seller has up-bid it....wouldn't be surprised if it appears again, re-advertised due to 'timewaster'.

Oh, what a surprise. It's back.

Would the 2.0D have a blower? Even so, I bet it could get a shift on once you wound it up.

PogPeasant pink FTMFW.

Problem with the 2L diesel is that it's normally in a higher tax bracket, does less MPG than the 1.3L and is supposedly a pretty rough unbalanced engine.

WHOOSH!

Shit feedback rating though.

I see Feedback through different eyes nowadays after that knobhead that bought my E39 neg'ed me for not believing his lies about the car catching fire and needing 2 fire tenders to put it out, then moaned about one of the faults I had described in the ad that he noticed as he drove it home after the fire had been put out. Went from 100% to 90% in one hit! Wifey now buying loads of 99p tat and paying within 5 nanoseconds to get the score up.

A lot of negative feedback seems to be left by people being too quick to throw their toys out of the pram before they have given the seller a chance to resolve any issues!!

It happens to buyers too.

I remember in the [better] old days when buyers could be negged. I bought a tape deck on eBay before moving house in Lancaster and told the seller in no uncertain terms before I bid that I didn't get paid for a week and that I was moving house and so wouldn't have Internet access for however long it took to sort everything out. He agreed to this and wished me well with the house move.

Three days later amid a pile of boxes I managed to get online with my housemate's computer and saw that he'd negged me to fuck because I 'hadn't paid' and he'd apparently had 'no communication' with me 'at all'. Several shitty e mails to eBay customer services with copies of the mails I'd sent him, and a couple of nasty ones back his way, and suddenly he backpedalled like a bastard and withdrew his negative rating! Needless to say I eventually got the tape deck (a pretty low end Yamaha KXW 321) and have been very happy with it ever since. His description was spot on and he delivered it quickly - he must have been having a crap day.

I didn't post a link to it but was watching with droolig lips a CX 2.5 Diesel Safari in very good fettle T&T sell for a measly £650 yesterday!

curse my poverty!

That Astra (which looks like it's worth £500 tops) is being sold by someone from Canvey Island. Says it all, really

As for the spoiler on that Sierra, I've only ever seen a picture of one in a Ford Accessories brochure, circa 1988 :)

I was watching that as well! Sold for £777.11 on my feed though? Only two things stopped me bidding. Abject skintness and memories of just how shit the heater blower is on the CX. You'd be better off strapping your cat to the dashboard and feeding it baked beans.

That Sierra is ace, much wantage for that here, unfortunately no money or space though.

I suspect the incredibly dim Astra seller meant to type 'Retro' not 'Retco' but if he's never seen on on eBay/elsewhere for sale then he obviously hasn't looked too hard. Eighteen hundred sovs would score you a decent/useable Mk1 GTE I reckon which is about six hundred and seventy two cajillion times more fun to drive than fucking 1.3 (or whatever) estate.
