Their jaws will drop when they see this bad boy up on axle stands outside your house under a tarp.

Yep, this is the look...

Here you go Pete-M!!! Its on the Wirral, and a 222 model so injected (far better than the carb version). Its an auto like but at least should be the 4-spd rather that the punk-a$$ 3-speeder used on the carb models. Basically this looks like a big old pile of WIN.

[watch list] KERLICK [/wl}

Damn you, Testiculus. I always swore blind I'd have no more to do with these things!

What's an Aberdeen Overdrive?

Aberdeen Overdrive = neutral. From the old days of the fish runs to London. Stick a bit of rubber at the top of the slot the tacho speed trace needle runs in, so that when you knock it into neutral and coast downhill, the tacho disc won't show 80mph+. Keep a boot on the throttle, to keep the air tanks charged, et voila...Aberdeen to London in one shift.

Nowadays, 600bhp+ of Swedish grunt, and a big magnet will do the same. And it's still illegal.

Just to keep it on-message...

Starcraft WTF Camper

...have we had this one yet? Autoshite Holidays latest heap of delights. Get papped by every 'Shiter from here to Lands End! Have 15 people per hour, ask you what it is! Not selling the deal, am I? Lets see...Free 1 week family pass to Rhyl Suncentre? A case of Pot Noodles and a boxset of 'Seaside Special', for the ultimate 70's holiday experience? We'll even remove the beef + tomato ones?

Seriously, I wouldn't mind saving it myself. If only because the guy buys it for its' engine and box?!? Who knows where he'll stop.

I have been know to use that at the top of the Tyrebagger.

Even though I have no Tachograph.

Ditto. In my defense, my chips were getting cold, and I wanted to get to Riverside Dr to park up...

PAGING MR B...

...if you're considering the Crumbyballs rally that is. Or perhaps you're pissed and it seems like a good idea.Look on the bright side though, if your bird throws you out you can sleep in the back with some fit piece as apparantly this is a FLANGE MAGNET. Or very probably not, as the case will undoutably be.

two pages back. and it's getting better the more I see it.

Where did you buy the chips?

Probly Blackburn, I dunno, officer!. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I used to do the 'Aberdeenshire' run for Somerfield quite regularly; it often ended with a visit to a chippy, as there are so many excellent ones in that neck of the woods. Could be I'm getting confused with trips to the chippy in Oldmeldrum, maybe. It's hard to say.

On-message entry for tonight...

Clean 5-dr Golf Gti with a years' ticket on it. Sitting on £255, reserve not met. How stratospheric will that reserve be?

Posted

Fiesta is lush, but £511 reserve not met - Hmmmm :?

Posted

Very tempting.

Posted

Thanks god it doesn't have those bloody awful chrome arches on it. I wouldn't mind it myself if I wasn't already over capacity by two cars.

Posted

Not too bad to be fair. A bit dismal inside and various parts of the bodywork may* disintegrate before your eyes but being the Ghia is should be reasonably 'plush'.
