Retro car meet at the vintage bus museum near Dunfermline from 11am on 28/08/2022

There's a cafe and toilets on site.

 

 

 

There's a varied mix of shite usually in attendance.

 

Attending in an older car is encouraged but anything goes really.

It isn't a show, most people just get out of their cars and wander around talking to other people.

 

Now it's being held in a slightly bigger venue with better facilities so if you wanted to be really antisocial you could just park up, wander around and go to the cafe and not speak to anyone else.

Generally the turnout for these is full of like minded enthusiasts and I've encountered very little bawbags as most of the boy racer types are away at Crail when this is happening.

It's free to participate and there's no need to put your name down as attending. Most people just seem to decide whether they're coming or not on the day.

Next car meet has been arranged for 29th of May at 10am and being held at the Scottish vintage bus museum near Dunfermline.

It's £2 per car, all donations going to the museum for letting us use their field.

Afraid I'll be in Ellon that weekend but hope to make it to one soon.  Glad to see DRU 464Y (belonged to me once upon a time) still alive and in ruddy health, has it ended up with a shiter?

I've never met the owner but think he's quite a young guy. I sometimes see it at the college near my work so think he might be an apprentice of some sort.
