I wonder what colour that Cortina^ was painted?  I have a Corgi estate waiting for restoration at the moment...

found a photo of my Dads Montego, car would have been 4years old at the time.

I think it’s me stood next to it but it could be my brother

I'm gonna guess blue or green. Seeing how the wood on the side is dark, and also the rear light lenses, the photographer probably had a blue filter on the camera. These were used to help with skin tones and a bit of contrast the models. The blue filter would make dark blue of green appear lighter.
