Good luck sir!  I'm going for a rusty Seat.  No idea why I think that - but I do.

If we're guessing then I'm going Saab 9-3 estate.

56 plate, 1.9 diesel.

130k plus.

In that indescribable beige, champagne colour with half leather.

Are it a longroof?

Is this the elimination game?

It has four wheels, at least it did in the photos. I'm told it has an injan. And a steering wheel.

Also, and this is most handy, a roof. I think its pretty long but not so long as to be a long-roof.

Hmmmm. Have it got a maunel?

No Spanish waiters as far as I know. Or HBOLs, but I won't know for sure until I get there.

  • Cord Fourteener changed the title to Kolekshun: it's not the leaving of Liverpool (St Station) that greaves me...

Well this is fun on a Sunday. 8 hours in and not even seen the thing yet.

Maybe you could do this every week? 😆

I'm full of good ideas.

Tune in tomorrow for train 9. 😄

Given that it's a Sunday I'm impressed that you haven't had to do half the journey on replacement buses...

That would have been painful!

I'm on a train that has a short carriage stuffed entirely with what appears to be a diesel engine but otherwise has electric overhead wire and pantograph power... how odd.

that's not what I normally understand diesel-electric to mean, unless it's a dual power source, mains electric with backup generator.

We are apparently on a stretch without overhead power, yet we set off with it...

It actually does seem to be electric on some stretches and diesel-electric on others.

I realised my original comment may have come across a bit know-it-all, didn't mean it like that, I reworded it after you responded.

I mean I've not seen dual power like this before.

Not at all... it was just the way I interpreted it.
