I have no idea about any TV programme but what twonks me off about all of them is you can rely on some office git to start a conversation with me by the tea machine because he thinks I drive an old car and must therefore by default be riveted by all this buffoonery.....

Excellent. So when some fool asks my opinion on why, when replacing a perfectly good (separate) brake light bulb, his rear light still doesn't work I can just shout "MARIO" at him and walk off.

For a while the O/S/R calliper on the V****a has been sticking a bit. Not bad, was OK pootling about but gets hot if you do 70. Tried the usual working the pistons in and out, would be OK for a bit but then stick again. So I ordered a secondhand calliper on ebay, which arrived today. Opened the box to be confronted with something that looked like it had been dredged out of a canal. But it cleaned up OK and the pistons were actually nice and free. Came to undo the bleed screw, I thought 'I bet that'll snap'

I wasn't wrong. Due to the shape of the calliper it's almost imposable to get anything in to grip the remains. I recon the only way will be to drill it out as big as I dare and then 'collapse' the remains.

ALL SEKUNDHAND VOXALL PARTZ R SHIT.

Bleed it through the hose connection. It's a bit awkward and you might have to remove the calliper depending on the position of the hose, but it works. I've been lucky recently but I used to have to do it this way nearly every time.

The sunroof in the xm is leaking again, and after the lovely downpour we have just had I can see that all the Windows are steamed up. Lovely!

I think that will be getting taped up until the weekend when I can have a poke about and see if I can get away with not siliconing it shut.

It's dripping all over the keypad, which is worrying

Renewed motor trade insurance today

They bumped it up 150 quid a year. Do no 7 years worth of no claims (including 1 of motor trade) not matter anymore? TWATS.

3 hours NCP parking cost me £8.10 last night.  Guess where it was?  Bloody Croydon.  No wonder I never go there, despite the obvious fact that it's a shit hole.  On the plus side, SWMBO got some free tickets to a classical concert so it was worth it.

That would be the same Croydon that was in the news this week because a headmistress at one of the local schools had asked parents to kindly not smoke while waiting at the school gates and received a backlash for her trouble. No offence to anyone from there or connected with the place (I used to go out with a girl from round there so know it well), but what a dump and what shameful parents.

There are now so many issues with Ebay, that it became more of a nuisance than anything.

It also turns more and more into a legal minefield for sellers.

The idea behind its initial creation is totally lost.

The first item sold on eBay was a broken laser pointer. When the bidding closed at nearly $15, the site's owner emailed the winning bidder and asked him whether he knew it was a broken laser pointer. The buyer replied saying that he collected broken laser pointers.

eBay has been a collection of hopeless tat peddled by weirdos and sold to nutjobs since item 0000000001.

(and it's great)

Haven't had any feedback from the 944 sale yet, but the important thing is that the guy actually turned up to collect it. Merc is on there at the moment and I've lied that I don't have a buy it now price to hopefully avoid any messages to that effect

I did think of that but it's a solid pipe to the calliper and it connects at the bottom...

Bummer DW.

Is it just set to heal as is? No surgery hopefully.

Can you not dictate to an underling typist for a while?

Heal up fast man.

I now realise that the McDonalds "1955 burger" is so called because they actually made them in 1955 and they've been sitting at the back of the fridge waiting to be sold ever since. Not enjoyable.

Is Croydon a tip now? My parents hail from there/thereabouts and I used to go to Norbury on a fairly regular basis and loved the place.

It's all relative. You now live in Chester.

i have been planning a epic* tat collection for almost 2 months and the only window of opportunity is this weekend.

my brother in law was scheduled to ride shotgun as the uplift is likely to be a bit* of a mission.

with 48hrs 'til the start of said mission, sister in law has thrown a strop and refuses to let him go.

that i spent 3 weeks of every evening and weekends building their conservatory means fuck all apparently

sigh...

Personally I've never liked the place so am biased, but it does have it's fair share of skank these days. Norbury ain't too bad, plenty of used car places still along the A23, and my other half bought a Rover 114 from there that was a cracking little motor. You're better off in Chester I'd say!

What chance have the brats got with fuckpig parents like that?

Over the past decade I've seen about three minutes of Hollyoaks. All in three second chunks while turning the TV off after The Simpsons. From that I've learnt that Chester is a pretty glamorous and sexy place, a lot like Miami or Monaco.

I went there once, I visited the (now defunct) TV and radio museum.

I wouldn't want to live in Chester, everyone dies in stabings, bomb blasts and cult suicides.

I've never been to Chester. But I can confirm that East London is nothing like EastEnders.

It's not altogether exactly the same as Holyoakes it must be said. It's a nice enough place, but does have it's dark sides like anywhere else. I can't comment on how many fit birds there are in the area because I'm married, but I can tell you that 99.9% of the lezzers are of the 'real life' type (i.e more stubble and tattoos than I could ever hope for) than the magazine variety.
