1 of the dogs dragged this out of a barn when we got here...

Has Quentin Willson been moulting in your outbuildings again?

The other day I was arsing about in the attic doing a bit of wiring, anyway I cut a hole in some plasterboard for a socket and had a nosey behind with a torch

Great I thought, a flippin wasps nest. I decided it was probably long dormant cos we've never had wasps and decided to ignore it because doing anything about it would mean taking the roof off or knocking massive holes in the wall.

Well, just now while sat in the attic, four massive wasps have just landed on my desk, FFS

I might try and just blow the nest to bits with the pressure washer through the hole I cut for a socket and then nuke it into orbit with many cans of pesticide or something.

Do not blast the nest with water as then you might have thousands of the flying fucks looking for you,

The can on the left would be ideal for that nest and you spray the nest right round it's outer shell from a distance and it gasses them,

The can on the right is powder and you need to dust it into the entrance and they walk it in, both work quite well and cheeper than getting pest control in.

Just be glad it isn't a hornets nest. In my old house they would get in via a broken ceiling pendant and it was like having a helicopter gunship flying past your head (and only slightly less threatening).

I SORN'd the BX about 5 days ago and the DVLA has just taken the payment out for tax this month. I know it's only a nominal amount but still....

Posted

They'll automatically refund it in a week or so.  Had it a few times now if you SORN near the end of the month (I know right, when else are you going to SORN..)

Never, ever trust the DVLA. As soon as you've sorned or got rid of something, cancel the DD immediately.

If you contact your bank on the same day they can recall the direct debit, as previously mentioned cancel the DD the minute you sorn/sell a car.

Are you a global multinational with more money coming in than some countries? No?

That's why then.

Thank God for that. I thought I was going to have to sort out the Middle East or Brexit or something for a minute.

I sold a motor mid month and canceled the direct debit straight away as I'm a forgetful sod, I was leaving notification of new owner to the end of the month so the they didn't loose a months tax and could tax it from the 1st of the following month, imagine my amazement when the doovla sent me a letter telling me I must SORN or set up a new payment plan immediately all before the end of the same month.

Never, ever trust govt. agencies or businesses enough to give them permission to help themselves to your money.

Cancel all direct debits immediately and forever.

Cheers man, Bought a can of that foam from amazon, I'll blast the fuckers with it tomorrow through the back of the plug socket. Can't get anywhere near to use powder unless I go on the roof and lift tiles or knock a great big hole in the wall.

Flaming arrow shot through the hole into the middle of the nest, what could possibly go wrong? Just in case remove all valuables from the house and make sure your insurance is paid up to date...

Clearly, it's time to build that Tesla gun you always promised yourself.

On the way home from work today a Police panda car was behind me, cutting across double whites on corners all over the shop down some NSL lanes, then when I slowed to a reasonable 33 in a 30 they actually fucking tailgated me!

If I'd driven like they did while following traffic plod then I'd have about 12 points.

They have speshal tirz and trainings that make them superhuman donchano

Is this a common problem? The reason I ask is a woman at work got rid of hers at two years old as she was told the gearbox was on the way out.

But in contrast, can you also tell me why she's not had a wage rise of more that around 1% for the last few years, now has to do the job of two other people as well as her own and is now technically going to get paid less for the same hours?

Luxury, when I were a lad I didnt get a payrise at all for 6 year solid!

The little thestags had to walk to school barefoot

* the first bit is true, still no payrise in the 7th year and a fuck of load of redundancy on the cards

the second bit might be a bit made up

How does she get involved? Just ask the rep, they will be ecstatic that someone wants to help.

Why is shit even though there is a union? Because the tories have mercilessly eroded the rights of ordinary people to stand up for themselves.

When I started working people went on strike to get better conditions, now they have to fight just to keep the status quo.

I dont normally get involved in politics, you know Maggie was a whore, Tony sold the country out, so I wont here either :D

Tories are scum, the blue ones and their red tory arse lickers like Blair.

Would be nice to have a genuine alternative have a chance that actually worked for the electorate, but can't see that happening anytime soon.

It's poor for a modern car to say the least, I know they are built to a price, as all cars are, but you expect better from the Japanese.
