I don't like doing this but I'm left with no choice. I helped someone ou, went out my way to collect something. They haven't paid for it yet from another person and I went 40 ish mile out my way to assist them with collection of an item. Not bothered replying to my messages and I'm now left with an unpaid item and no way of contacting them. Nice one. I didn't want anything for my time or diesel as it was on another job I collected it. Some folk I despair with.

That is proper shitty thing to do on you mate, you can't help some folk.

And the other fella who's still not been paid

I can send them a poo in the post if you like? Unlimited supply (and I'm having curry tonight).

I'm assuming Paul is joking, it sounds like Tradesmans Humour.

So was I - surprised he was getting so much stick.

The whole fukkin village here is just a nightmare for delivery drivers - no house numbers or names at all. The address is just persons name and village name. The postie knows who everyone is so has no problem but any non-local delivery driver is screwed.

That's all been circumvented over here by having no post....you take a trip to the post office and collect your own

Someone from here Bub or a non-shiter?

Guy who hasn't been paid is Shiter and so is other fella. Don't like to say shit about folk but I did a favour to help someone and they ignore all things.

Can't remember where I read it but there's a south American country where they don't have street names or anything. An address is just a description of where it is.

In a similar vein to bub, neices ex husband dropped his van in for repair unannounced when I was busy, put £150 of exhaust on, rang him no answer, texted him and he replies instantly. I'm desperate to get rid of it as I've got 10 cars in the workshop and 5 outside. Texted him 'key left on wheel' not even a thank you. I know he won't pay the £180 or the £20 he already owes me

I won't be doing it again, and I hazard a guess you won't either Michael. I trust folk and try to help but unless the person I know is trustworthy then they can bollocks.

...the numbering goes 103-101-99-75-73-71 etc so he'd overshot (they bulldozed a load of terraced houses and put in nice big detached bungalows, so there's spare numbers)... 12" high bright purple house number that's been let into the glass above the door...

In my defence, it was dark when I was trying to find your house.  And I'm shit at electrics...  :D

Guy who hasn't been paid is Shiter...

This may well be true.

...and so is other fella.

This most certainly is NOT.

OK well he is on here. But I agree. I didn't do it for money though I did it to help someone. Feel like a mug now

I believe this is how Mat-the-cat gets Christmas cards.

You're not the mug, don't let it put you off this place most here are as honest as the day is long.

The regulars on here are different though. I'd help any of them out if I can.

Services available at discounted prices for Shiters, I did that for no money as it wasn't really a monumental way and I was on a paid job too.

I've still got a pair of Fiesta bumpers in my shed that I collected from Turriff for someone on here 5 years ago.

Time for them to go on Gumtree?

My daughter lives in a similar location - good luck trying to find her house without a guide - first time I tried (when she wasn't home, she was at my house and we had likely passed one another on the way) even the locals had no idea and that was in a pizza place 100 yards away.

Worth £££ now.

I love it when you are looking for a place called "New Bungalow" and when you eventually find it you discover it was built in 1910 and hasn't seen a paintbrush since the blitz.

And you have been past it 15 times already.

What kind of Fiesta?

It should be illegal not to have your house number on your door.

What about those of us who's house doesn't have a number? In fact our address doesn't have a road either, but then there is only one in the village.
