That M56 bridge situation was even worse on Saturday when this happened on the diversion route, closing that road too:

Amazingly considering the damage to the bus, the only injury was a broken arm.

Christ! Is that on the A538 in Hale Barns?

When they 'extend the life of a road' by sprinkling loose gravel on top and hoping the traffic will act as a steam roller, leaving a mound of loose gravel either side of the tyre tracks and all divots and potholes are still there.  They seem to be doing it sporadically up the A452 between Stonebridge and Kenilworth for a bit of a laugh.

Still having challenges with charity I help. It is driving me bonkers.

The overseas guys dont like the uk accountant and so are getting funny about sharing information. UK acct is trying to reconcile some missing information.

I am stuck in the middle. Arghhh

Thats pretty standard resurfacing round here. They literally spray paint some wet tar on the old surface, spread out some gravel and feck off, leaving the traffic to press the gravel in and push the excess onto the verge. Motor cyclists love it.

It's no fun as a cyclist, either. More often than not as someone gives you a wide berth when over taking (which I appreciate by the way) they inadvertently spray up all the stones from the middle of the road.

Friend has just purchased a motorbike after a bit of a hiatus and was saying how horrid it is.  I pass quite a few cyclists, hadn't given that much thought as I always give a load of space, hopefully skinny tyres and low speed mean I haven't pebble dashed anyone.

Emailed Porsche 924 seller yesterday ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=191271999806 ) .

Hi, is there any chance of coming to look at the 924 this weekend?

Kind regards

Scotty

They replied:

yes sunday afternoon would be good for me

So I said:

That's fine, I am not far away. What time is best for you and where am I going?

And they replied:

hi where are you from and it wull be late afternoon if thats ok because I'm helping a friend in the morning

To which I replied:

Coming from Leeds so not far. If you give me a time and location i can work to that. Thanks.

and then:

Not sure if last message sent as using my phone. I am just in Leeds. If you let me know what time and a location i can work to that. Thanks.

That last message was sent at 17.55 yesterday. Still no reply so they can jog on. I am not sitting around all day waiting to see if they might arrange for me to go over there. If they don't bother I will have sat in all day doing nowt on the off change I can go and look at a shit looking 924. No thanks.

Seller never came back to me so the car is obviously borked IMO. Will see what it sells for tonight and then see how long it is until it gets relisted.

But, "the driver of the Mercedes was taken to hospital in a serious condition"

In this H&S era does that just mean his heart rate was high and wouldn't drop, or was he seriously injured? The damage doesn't look too bad, it doesn't look as if a section of bus pierced the screen. Did it stop so fast that internals were rearranged, I wonder?

Two fellas with a green car have been seen snooping around the council estate, which is sitting with some alloys in the boot... SWMBO's uncle has challenged them. Time to get the old Volvo moving again I fear :(

Redwind may be the problem here...... Rewind being a possibly better option?

Bloody toothache is driving me mad, which means booking a trip to the dentist.

I hate going to the dentist.

However it's been going on for three days and feels like I've been punched in the jaw so better do something.

Thunderstorms, go away. I've got stuff to do but, since I got up over an hour and a half ago, there's been 2 thunderstorms quite near here (about 10km) that don't seem to be moving. I really need to get out in the garden with the strimmer but, seeing as its basically a 2m long metal pole with a 2-stroke engine at one end and death at the other, I'm a bit worried about getting frazzled. Or I could go shopping, except I can't if there's a thunderstorm as Betty, our 12 year old golden retriever, will shit herself if there's a thunderstorm and I'm not here. They're not getting closer but then they're not getting any further away. Come on you bastards, do something different.

And now it's raining. At least that stops me thinking about strimming. Oh ffs, what a waste of a morning :(

Lots near you at moment.

None in UK though.

It seems standard in Warwickshire now. Had a couple of roads near work with this treatment. They will be along in a couple of days to sweep the 'fixed' road but totally ignore all the chips that have been dragged onto all the side roads.

Feck the feck off, migraine.

Stop looking at the monitor then. Get the to thy physic, they make pills for them now that actually work but they're prescription only. Don't bother with any of the rubbish they sell in a chemist.

Cheers, but someone posted that on here a while back so that's what I'm watching. I guess you can see my problem, two storms that now seem to be one are just South of here and loud enough to rattle the windows and have Betty running up to me - "tickle me, I'm afraid". Oh, now she's lying on my foot, I guess I'm not going anywhere.

You're right, of course - but the alternative is staring at the ceiling, with no perceptible improvement.  I don't tend to get the pain, but nausea, 'dislocation' and the kind of visual disturbances that Hackney hipsters would pay good money for.

I am already working closely with the physic and the apothecary...  ;)

Looks like it's drifting away now, woo. That's right, go and pester the Bosnians, they need something else to worry about.
