I had to google that.

It's worrying that there's a definition.

Much to my eternal shame and dismay, my other half is a Brony and I wish he wasn't. Every now and then he comes up to me and shouts "CUPCAKES!" and I just go ¬.¬

It's worrying that anybody would think I was one of these Brony types.

I thought he was on about the village in Poland until I googled it too. :P

Got the 924 insured on Friday and taxed on Saturday in anticipation of going for a drive yesterday. Up nice and early on Saturday morning to put it all back together. Finish off getting the exhaust on on Sunday morning ready for the big fire up and nope its not playing game.

A quick think through everything and realise I have the ignition timing well off so sort that out and yes it fires and ticks over but wont bloody rev at all. Spend several hours looking for vac leaks and intake leaks and find nothing.

Decide to retorque the head bolts and sort the exhaust blow out. Put it back together againg and now no spark. ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Retire to drink beer and sob in to my pint.

OK, It's a good few years ago, and my own 924S was OK, but my mate's one was a bit of a pig. His fuel pump relay went, and caused it not to spark either, and we seem to recall a couple of blown fuses too (I gave him a ring just now). It was 1996, and neither of us are getting any younger, so memories are a bit hazy! He recalls something called a DEM which seems to have been some sort of ECU, but neither of us remember replacing it.

I realise this is of very little use, but I hope it gives you something to shoot at.

Cheers! I think I have tracked down what caused the original non revving problem, I am just hoping I haven't fried the ignition control module in the process. Of course being an eternal pessimist no doubt it will all now be completely borked!:)

Oh and fuel pump relay failure is very common, I presume this is why car came with a spare!

Range rover classic has 2relays for fuel pump and injectors. I found that if injector relay is faulty then fuel pump will not work either. If fuel pump one is faulty then no spark at da plugs.

Luckily I had LPG and with a bit of fucking about swapping relays around I was able to start it on gaz.

Next i found tht the relays are special Bosch (iirc) and pattern parts although thy say they are compatible are simply 5pin relays - which rather annoyingly drain your battery overnight.

I searched the back of the garage to where I had casually thrown the old relays and refitted them and all has been well since, I suspect a bit of carbon inside the box caused one or tother to stick.

He had a crash in November and died 2.5 months later of bronchial pneumonia? Freak accident at best. :|

Did I read the article right? He first went to hospital two months after the crash with breathing difficulties, even though he supposedly had problems since the crash?

Moral of the story? Don't wait two months to see a doctor if you have breathing difficulties after a car accident...

Been tailgated and cut up by wanker drivers six or seven times in the last few days and everytime it's been someone in an Audi. I know it's not good to stereotype but sometimes it's hard not to.
