Our interests are aligned, then. I much prefer paying and fucking off to paying, shuffling off to another counter and repacking all my shit again.

Oh you poor scone. I can't imagine how awful it must be to be forced to have the opportunity to take your time packing your shopping carefully without holding anyone up, rather than the civilised option of shoving everything in your bags hoping that you unloaded it from the trolley in an order that makes sure you don't crush your lovely loaf of sourdough under a bag of beef dripping chips.

Just checking, I’m still the only one with the hang-up about this, right? 😅

You're the one who compared it to communism!

It's been a while since I read Marx, but if I recall under his system there would be no need for a checkout at all? Which, logically, you'd love because you could just pack at your leisure wherever you want!

For crying out loud, man. You’ve already been told it was a throwaway comment, not a like-for-like comparison.

Stop fucking quoting me to defend it then.

It's really fucking annoying to have someone quote you when you're done isn't it

Throwaway quote

Quote me on this, and it can be that last word you so desperately crave.

And then go outside and get some fresh air. For everybody’s sake. Pretty fucking please.

Something that makes me quite grumpy is people who project their own insecurities onto random strangers on the internet.

SHUT.  THE.  FUCK.  UP.

Fuck off. If it bothers you don't read it. Isn't that the usual advice?

Maybe you should enquire about having some therapy, just a helpful suggestion.

On what basis are you making this suggestion? Because I'm pissing about on a forum in my downtime?

Over the last three days I've driven 500-odd miles so that I can go to see my Mum and Dad for a late Christmas.  My brother was there this year too.

Now I'm reminded of why I hate Christmas so much.  I don't think I'll bother next year.

Back to work tomorrow and if you remember my work situation, still “covering” that same bloke, and on top of that it’s only me in the department now instead of the other bloke who’s been signed off with stress due to him moving house. EXFUCKINGCUSE ME? Yeah moving is stressful for everyone but is it that stressful to take a month off of work? I moved just fine even though my solicitor was a useless cunt. Each to their own I suppose but shitmunchers like me just have to and get on with it I suppose.

And I’ve been in bed since 9:30 to try and get ahead on some sleep but can I settle? Can I fuck.
I’m not ready for a long day of Christmas smalltalk. Yes I saw Wallace and Gromit, yes I got Spider-Man socks and a car themed mug, and I couldn’t care less about your Louis Vuitton bag that you got from your boyfriend that you actively cheat on.

Already fucked off and it’s not 6:45 yet, wow. Anyway last week I went to the pub with a dear friend and we got talking about our school years and I want to go back and punch younger me in the face. I failed to recognise the advances of a girl (which back then and even now is pretty much non existent for me) until that very moment in the pub. Now I bet you’re wondering, “and?” so here lies the problem. I got in touch with her that night, she answered, we got some good conversation going and she’s interested in seeing my cars (thanks fellow shiters) so you’d think it’s all gravy?

But…

She’s my best mates cousin. Forgot about that bit, that’s quite a key piece of information.

TLDR: My work continues to get worse, can’t sleep, tried wooing my best mates cousin after failing to realise advances when I was 15/16.

Wise words, thank you for the guidance that may or may not work in my favour.

We've all been there, you were unlucky to get caught.

I hope they do, but what do you have to lose?

Slightly awkward interaction at his wedding but they don’t have a date yet so… nothing really?

Slightly confusing, but just see what happens. Take it easy, as the Eagles said

i've never had so much as a parking ticket before, it was most unlike me to be doing 40 in a 30 but just wasn't in the mood that day and wanted to get home

i presume a course will be offered

i broke the law and got caught, banged to rights

IIRC 42 in a 30 is the max for a speed awareness course, so you should be ok. You can do the course online if you don't fancy going on a physical course.

Checked the van oil on Christmas eve and topped it up a little. Did a 50 mile drive on the 28th and noticed some smoke coming from the bonnet.

Yep I'd forgot to put the oil cap back on.

Ordered a new one on amazon that didn't fit. Panicked a bit as I need it for work today so popped to a local scrappy. Topped up the oil screwed the cap on and just as I was closing the bonnet I discovered the old one in a cubby on the slam panel.
