gm Posted November 29, 2020 Author Posted November 29, 2020 very much appreciated, thank you. as the day approaches when this will move under its own steam, I can't help thinking "what will I do when it is finished ?" but of course, it will never really be finished it still needs a fair bit more fettling to pass the IVA then I'll see what it's like to drive, then I'll start looking into some sort of Booooost Tickman 1
gm Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 a very important parcel arrived today which contained these which fitted here so I gave these a clean (couldn't find any wheel cleaner, this seemed to do much the same thing) and bolted them on then took it off the 'stands' ooh, that's very low how low ? yes, very I hope it won't be a problem getting it off the drive... Mr Laurence, mercedade, Jim Bell and 7 others 10
gm Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 earlier on, I'd bled up the clutch and brakes so once the wheels were on, I cable tied my inspection light to the top of the radiator why the fuck have you done that, you mad geordie bastard ? I hear you ask well, mostly because of this ! (apologies for the poor sound quality, and for starting the video with a close up of my arse !) (but it's worth it) rainagain, spartacus, Jamie and 15 others 16 2

LightBulbFun Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Woo happy to see the first drives (wonder what the neighbours/other drivers on the road thought LOL) its amazing how quickly you have progressed with it, wont be long until your hurtling around a track in it! as I think I said before, keep up the good work gm and GMcD 2

Floatylight Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 When I built my Robinhood we built it at my mates house whose house was on a small road which formed a loop which connected which an orbital road all road the estate, a number of times we got very strange looks doing test drives with just a bare shell. Our was similar ground clearance, what posed a particular problem was single track roads which had a ridge in the middle, ended up having to get the sump shortened after wearing a hole in it.. Looks brilliant, good work! gm 1
gm Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 thanks, there's still a load to do but it's a great feeling to have that first drive it's currently sitting on the suspension that I stole off the other mx5 - kyb shocks and eibach lowering springs - which I will upgrade to something adjustable if it proves to be too low. It did scrape on the the drive when I put it back in the garage, not sure if it was the exhaust or the seat bolts that hang down below the floor, but I'll need to be careful. hairnet Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 gan!!!! braaaap its not low 4cm is low - inches - plenty gm 1
