I think it did at some point, doesn't appear functional.

 

It's got keep fit windows but central locking. 

Power steering but tiny 13 inch wheels

Gr9...... Deffo smear up both those pressed arms (solid steel bar on a Corolla, same years) + lard up ALL steel pipes.. brake/fuel.

Now that is a cracking automobile, just look at that lovely upholstery. Very jealous.

Just a couple top tips about the 4A-F, make sure all the vacuum lines are in good order and leave the carb adjustments well alone, any and all adjustment will make it worse (ask me how I know).

I know, Japanese carbs, especially Nikki ones are temperamental if messed with! The carb actually looks really clean, perhaps replaced at some point.

He put wide 15" Renault steels (scrapyard cheepz) on... but you need a mounting ring/hubcentric

Threads are Ford..... I used stock Ford alloy sleeve nuts on ToMM©

I have a set of 14" Clio alloys in 'stock', so will probably put them on. Just need tyres.

Very fond memories of my Grandads Corolla Sprinter with the same engine. 

We go mad for retro Toyotas in Ireland, it's like people and Fords in the UK. It's a €1500-2000 car every day there.

It's not getting painted...

I did however pop the wheel trims off to inspect the steels. I'll probably find a matching set for now until i get the proper one.

The local pigeons decided they didn't like this one..

Yeah, I've decided it's sticking around for now.

It's so smooth and calm to drive.

Things that need doing:

Suspension top mounts - no movement but rubber is perished.

Tyres/ wheels - currently on 4 different 13" balloons.

Interior - trace a couple of trim rattles. Fix speakers. Get foam residue off dash. Replace sun visor that I snapped.

Bodywork - fix odd rust patch on rear door. Drivers mirror needs casing.

Engine - oil change

Cambelt was done at 10k ago, so that's a good thing.

Sunvisor on ToMM© was all crumply, soft n squidgiee....

If you look into my tredd.... you will see I rammed on two Corsa blinds (hard/stiff & a good profile fit)

All new dampers on mine... FRONT are 'inserts' .... from MicksGarage, Ireland
