I have similar memories of The Pink being sold. Usually an old boy shouting "Pink!". Different times.

I have memories of hanging around the newsagent (sorry, papershop) waiting for them to come in and then set about delivering them. Later when I was old enough to drink I remember the Pink being hawked around the pubs of the Bigg Market by old boys earning a bit of beer money having just took a bundle from Thompson House.  One year my dad was photographed the in the Pink (and not for fighting) so he pocketed £20 if he presented himself to Thompson House reception with said Pink. Not bad in those days.

The larger highrise building is actually still there and just hidden behind the trees on street view. That no parking zone ends signs must have been hanging there since the original photo was taken.
