Only due to recent purchase have I noticed this one...

Mk3 Focii have different exhaust outlets depending on engine size. Yes, some of you cry, the ST is centre exit! Not them, I retort, the 1 litre pez and the 1.6 diesel exit via a subtle route on the left...

The larger capacity versions of both, 1.6 pez and 2L diesel exit on the right...

Cool, you can all go back to sleep now...

Design it so the window goes down so far then starts to go down at an angle, leaving the top end of the window poking out at a weird angle when down. Ah wait, it's Audi, not 90's Lexus... 😆

One thing I cannot unsee is the seat-to-door positioning on the Alfa Giulia...

When you put the drivers seat into position for anyone that's average height or above, the back part/headrest is in the middle or behind the B-Pillar! It's bugged me since a mate told me.

It doesn't look bad in the picture I've posted, but in real life you'll see what I mean!

That bonnet gap is factory...

Also on the facelift Focus mk3 they slimmed the rear lights but kept the filler cap the same as the pre-facelift...

As for changing to the metric system for signs - the expense would be prohibitive - just count how many signs, with dimensions on them, you see on your journey home tonight and then put an order in for the following as a simple example -

+ labour and concrete. etc etc.

To be fair, I could see the UK government "doing a BL" and just adding "km/h" stickers to the existing signs.

Given the current trend towards all roads in the UK being reduced in speed, this would actually be a massive saving.

Immediate safety for towns, everybody having to do 18mph! Think of the children! Think of the elderly (the designers are now all elderly so are thinking of themselves).

Good idea. Could it be extended to distances between towns which would suddenly be 5/8ths nearer? Thus reducing travel time and fuel consumption.

Convert back to miles and suddenly Sheffield is only 20 miles away and Leeds 37. Job done, climate change solved.

Is it just me, or does the wheelbase of the B2 Audi 80/90 look really short?

I think there is something with the picture? But am not sure. Mine in the picture below is pre facelift and looks longer.

I think it is due to the picture, the B2 was always a Looong car for what they did with it, the only reason the early quattro's dominated rally was due to the overwhelming superiority of the power and drivetrain, as the wheelbase was long and low so it wasn't as nimble as the other cars. See how it looks on my 80 compared to our quattro

I knew about LHD and RHD Cubes, I suppose Nissan being from a RHD country trying to sell in a LHD market had to do things properly, I'm amazed the Rancho was changed though, especially for a rear wiper

Agreed. Such a pointless expense. Just put it in the middle!

If only BMW had been as diligent when designing the Bini Clubman's little door.
