eBay tat volume 3.

That seems pretty standard with eBay traders... Decide what you want for the car, write eBay ad, put an inflated price on the car for the photos.

At £4k for a malfunction waiting to happen, it belongs in Bargains. At £2k it's merely amusing.

Remember that 19 Chamade with the funky seats from a few pages ago? It sold for £92!

Let's play 'guess the car!'

First clue.

2nd clue. Advert title.

Very economical 5 door Auto 1.0 City car great parking in traffic 30K milesonly.

3rd clue. Main body text. There is more, but none of it mentions what it actually is.

Lovely car. Only done 30K Miles.

VERDICT: Hopeless. (it's a Perodua, just not sure which one. I'd guess Kenari)

I bet that commercial vehicle is heartbroken - imagine it's the automotive equivalent of locked in syndrome

Yup. VM. As fitted to the SD1 and Range Rover. That's what they had to do with Rover. As also fitted to Ford Granada, Jeep Cherokee, Alfa Romeo 164 etc.

A Vauxhall I could perhaps grow to like:

the drivers seat has bolster ware, as the old guy who used to own it couldn't get in and out of so easy as he got older.

What did he wear? A chainmail suit?

^^^^ Better looking than the "base car" though! ^^^^^^

I like that little "(modified)" in the sub title.

That could be anywhere on the scale from "K&N panel filter and an alloy gear knob" to "I have made this look like a Disney cartoon truck", but it's not worth mentioning that in the title itself.

Guys, the chances for stuff like this coming up for sane tariffs are going to be slimmer the longer you wait.

OK, it is a tad pov-spec, but those are getting even thinner on the ground. Add presumably original Monza Red and you are looking at a rare beast indeed.

I should have a set of suitable seats down in my dungeon, which would be free to take for any Autoshiter deciding to plunge into P6 ownership.

This car does justify more respect than it obviously got hitherto! As an added bonus, you can give the tax man the two finger salute he so rightfully deserves.

Stop telling me P6s are affordable!  By the time I'm in a position to purchase one they'll all be a gazillion pounds and I'm sure you'll tell me you told me so when I try and buy one, ideally without leather seats or a V engine but with a spare wheel on the boot because everyone knows you don't need to see what's behind you when you're piloting a P6.

I will have told you so.

There is no 'ideally', it's all up to your personal taste, however, V8s are the ones to hunt down first.

If it's a V8 auto, it should ideally have PAS, which was standard on V8Ses. Everything else is easy to change.

Mine doesn't have leather seats simply on the grounds that I don't want to sit on leather, that's all. It has nothing to do with more or less collectibility. Besides, to change all seats in a P6 is a matter of half an hour.

Huh. I question whether an old Vitesse chassis could handle a V8...
