EBay have just sent me some suggestions based on my previous browsing (I.e Impreza parts). 
Their helpful* suggestions? Carbon fibre doors at £3500 a pair (special offer, should be £4k) or a tailgate at £1500.

Wow, someone really spec'd a base model 318i with a very unusual paint and interior color. The cost of those alone probably would have paid for a better engine in it.

OBVIOUSLY STEERING IS HEAVY
 OIL LEAK (from about 427 different places)
MISFIRE WHEN WARMED UP
SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD TRANSIT WHEN WARM
DRIVERS WING ROTTEN 
SILLS AND UNDERNEATH ROTTEN TOO
BRAKES ARE SHOCKING 
DRIVERS DOOR CARD FABRIC FALLEN OFF
DRIVERS DOOR NEEDS A SLAM
KNOCK OVER BUMPS MAYBE TOP MOUNT
DRIVERS REAR QUARTER BADLY PAINTED
PROBABLY OTHER STUFF WRONG
 
I bought it to daily but it's far too much of a shed and I haven't got the time to get it even slightly reasonable.
 
NEEDS TO BE TOWED TRAILERD OR HIABD AWAY!!
