Bloody Nora!

I can't see that making £12K - rare and obscure doesn't mean valuable, just look at my fleet...

I don't know what he's trying to achieve, apart from pricing potential buyers out of the market :ssch00101:

It looks like a coffin and a hearse, all rolled into one.

That must cost a fortune in Cuprinol...

Those cumulus clouds on their own are worth a few quid.

They're buggers to store though... 😀

OK gotta ask - why are they called "land crab" ??

bugged me for years

I believe it refers to when Austin entered one in rallycross ( think they tried everything in the range)  & it spent more time going sideways in a 4 wheel drift than it did going forwards.

The doors were used for the maxi in yet another penny pinching exercise

Methinks from the London to Sydney rally. Paddy Hopkirk was a sideways expert. Cowan's Hunter was ahead, mebbe straighter. Doors fitted the 3-litre too, I think?

Look at the fucking STATE of this!!!

And although it took seven years and around three thousand hours, the vehicle you see here does indeed bear a striking resemblance to the Jaguar D-Type”

if it was described over the phone, in French, by someone with no eyes

Just a heads up, this fateful constipation, sorry, faithful recreation ends tomorrow, currently at the giddy heights of £350.

I’d actually like to know how this will work because Car & Classic charge £200 just to take the photos and £600 min commission and have a fairly terrible reputation for extracting this no matter the outcome. Poor sap’s going to owe them money. I’ve also just realised they’ve posted a photo of a bill on the main page with his full name, address and email on which was nice of them. Although I’d say he’s fairly safe no one’s going to nick it.

It came from the rally car which had a tendency to travel sideways very fast despite being FWD. Or just slow and tenacious over rough stages.

All that effort for something that is worth a lot less (and looks infinitely worse) than a bog standard 2002 MX-5...
