My gran used to say that. Not heard it for decades. She was from Huddersfield.

So did my Mum, greater London

Driving a GSA never gets old ... particularly seeing the red line coming round on the rev counter as you listen to the turbine smoothness of the flat four

And a BOSS chair

Looks like she's 'calling for Huey' out of the window.

'the stuff inside is worth 1500'

Yeah, that piss stained stepladder and the council-front-garden-find gas cooker probs worth a grand a piece, M8.

'you can have your holidays when ever you want'

As long as it's in a field in Forton, between Garstang and Lancaster?

Now I have a little more free time I can continually post shite here.

Misery spec 1989 Renault 19 Chamade in Essex (before Daihatsu got their way and the Chamade name had to be dropped).

So I've registered on Copart to bid on this or the blue 66k mile Lincoln Mark VIII that were both ending yesterday and today. To my surprise they actually achieved some fairly decent prices (as in what the car would be worth outside the UK, which is generally significantly more). Turns out there are European bidders pushing prices up fairly aggressively, which makes sense even with horrendous Copart fees, transport and VAT taken into consideration.

The Mark VIII went to the Czech Republic, the TC to Romania (with other bidders from southeast Europe). I see that as good news as enthusiast there are much more likely to appreciate these cars for what they are while here they'd probably just end up turning into engine donors or worse. So for anybody selling anything LHD (American) that could appeal to an international enthusiast audience, Copart might be the best way to sell to someone willing to pay proper money for it (unless the seller fees are just as silly).
