Is that badge right?

Yes the 1100 wasn't small enough in escorts, some MK2 cortinas were avl with the 1100 & I believe a handful of early mk3's.

For the Dutch market I think.

Marketplace pushed this one at me this morning - late Freelander 1, leather, auto, blah blah. Thought it rather nice then realised it's in the £735 tax bracket :-(

i got caught out with the tax once on one of those at Newark car auctions, i did actually have a really good look around it before it went through, thought it odd not many bids,

For some odd reason i recall, most probably incorrectly the manual as it's lower emissions doesn't get raped on the tax

I hastily bought a 9-3 once, checked the insurance etc as you do, didn’t think to look at the tax bracket. Ouch.

No, I don't think the Escort 940 was even sold here, versions with tiny engines were primarily aimed at markets where tax was based on engine displacement, such as Italy.

Seen these, there's also a green miller cycle on FB for 400 quid with significantly less miles, perfect donor car. I'm just not sure if it's worth the hassle, I might just not need all that many parts for mine.

Presumably these are too early to be in the eleventy billion pounds tax bracket/racket?!

Registered before 01/03/2001 and >1549cc means £360 per year currently.

Yeah, the crazy tax bracket starts in March 2006. Anything older than March 2001 is just divided into bigger than 1.5l or smaller.

Smoll Quick Moose, in a horrible (rare apparently) colour, with the wrong wheels, although seller seems to think otherwise. My one was the pigs tits, and would probably still have had it other than someone blowing it up. (Not me.)

I bloody love that. £5495 seems fair to me.

@Cavcraft is the spray-on foam sound deadening factory-fit?

These Transits never* went wrong, so I don't know what they look like under the bonnet.

Is that wiring colour coded blue or is it a trick of the light?

Saw one of these today being driven how it should be. They seem to be getting a rarer and rarer sight these days.

Overspray. I wonder what the new paint is hiding.

Don’t think they’re the wrong wheels m9, they look a lot like the ones my old S40 T4 had.
