Fairly unexceptional but I've posted because it's done 260000 miles! 

Visible interior damage appears to be:

- Small tear in driver seat fabric

- Centre armrest a bit sunken

- Infotainment screen surround trim paint flaking off

Can you imagine any VAG product getting to that mileage and wearing it so well?

Ambitious?  Depends on condition really.  It wouldn't surprise me if it made that, or even more.

Nope nor was pickup or V8 version sold here, think is was due to UK market ones being built on the continent.

The “Grand” Cherokee got the V8 it was never fitted to the Regular XJ Cherokee. all the U.K. market ones were shipped over from the US

My brother had one of these which he “inherited” as a company car. Still a Datsun I think. Horrible thing. Under powered with only four gears spaced so far apart you had to rev the nuts off it in each gear otherwise it would just bog down in the next.

If only the British car industry could have produced reliable cars, such awful stuff would have never made it from Japan and no one would be driving Qashqais today.

Some Grand Cherokees were built in Austria, yes. A UK V8 one would not have been, however
