My old man had one of those in the early 80s. Lovely comfortable car.

2003 Hyundai Sonata with 42,000 miles, £1,750. I think I once had a shirt that was the same pattern as that upholstery. Those seats look very inviting.

That is insane value. 12 month MOT and loads of work done to it. Shabby bodywork but with a bit of a polish that could be straight back on eBay tomorrow for double what the seller is asking.

It's spent 70 years fighting off the rust, then some one paints it with rust. 😒

Man that's nice.

Why did the 309s all come with black bumpers, anyway? Even the GTi models.

I would dearly love one of these, but thirteen fucking grand?  There’s probably only me and the designer’s mother who wants one.

'some corrosion rear chassis.' That's killed a lot of these...

This looks like it would be fun to drive.

I'm sure there would be no* problems if you got pulled over by DVSA either - as we all know, fitting modern VAG turbo running gear to a classic car and then failing to declare the mods never* causes any issues.

I disagree.

Part of the appeal of driving a BMW 2002 would be driving a BMW 2002.

That's an Audi A1 with a BMW 2002 shaped hat.

I think he watched "Tasty Classics" when he did this to a rover 100 (or P4 can't remember)

Ah, I see the problem, your car is phasing between alternate planes of existence. Yeah, pretty sure that's an MOT fail.

I mean that is the best Favorit I've ever seen but I still can't see it going for £6k. And if you did pay that much you wouldn't be able to use it. As soon as you did it would instantly only be worth about a third of that.

The lacquer started falling off those Ronal alloys from about six months old, you couldn't use those in the real world. Looks like it needs to be in a museum to me but again, very limited appeal to most people.
