so is this Real or Copy?????????

i'd say real, when Lotus built these up out of factory fresh GS1 3000's they didn't use any rust protection when they added their body kit.

so, in the uk, that was a proper recipty for disaster, eventually.

and given the state of the body on this car.....

I'm with you. That's a real Lotus. Carltons rust plenty, but the particular rust here is characteristic of a Lotus.

I'd like to see the area where the transmission tunnel joins the rest of the floorpan. If I recall correctly, the transmission tunnel was a custom piece (to take the six speed Corvette gearbox that was wide) and the old one was cut out, new one welded in and just Hammerited. I could be wrong, that's just what I've heard.

I love a Lotus Carlton, but I can't even imagine the pain of trying to get some of the parts that needs

Brake discs or calipers were like hen's teeth at one stage.

Round rear arches - only found on the GTi I thought.

And other variants like the Forte.

Early S2, so will have twin TPS. Fun. Only seems to have a single LCD display; I thought the Prestiges had 3?

Seller Keith Davis is well-known as a stockist of NOS CX and DS body panels and other parts. £1200 for a bonnet lid.

I think you've went a bit OTT on the exterior roll cage M8

I've spent a few minutes staring at that playing a fun little game; where would you need to tactically cut that external cage for it to all come crashing down in the quickest way possible?

It's just the scaffolding to get on top to seal the roof leaks

Only the turbos had three I think.  The first CX I drove was a C reg prestige in metallic blue with beige leather. I suppose I should have bought it -60,000 miles, and £3500 in 1998.

Hmm. My DTR had three but other 25 petrols I’ve driven don’t. I wonder if it’s down to the year? Nearly all the series 2 prestige’s were C reg,
