Good looking Carina, buyer said high miles....211K, just run in Shirley? £650 start no reserve. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-TOYOTA-CARINA-E-CDX-1-8-16V-12-MTHS-MOT-HIGH-MILES/383510550543?hash=item594b02980f:g:iBoAAOSwTeRenHiv

I think all 999 of the N...PPJ series ended up on various Toyotas and Lexuseseseses*. I've owned one, have photographed one or two others and a number of press cars were in the same series.

*I don't really think that, I may be exaggerating.

The 1.8 vvtis inherited their oil burning from these earlier, 7A-FEs. Common topic among the T200 Celica fraternity. If it's lasted this long I guess it's ok?

Mine doesn't seem to use any oil.  Mind you it has done almost 1/3 of the mileage of that one.

Mine is also a lowly GLi so doesn't get the wood* on the dash, and my upholstery is not quite as vicious.

I'm absolutely certain this was a forum car.  I seem to remember the owner doing a run to Stansted in it (I can remember shit like this but not what I had for dinner last night).

Any ideas?

Its a barn find car, was covered in dust and was with a blue 220 turbo and a few other spares. Not sure how long it was tucked away before this new owner has bought it to sell on.

This TURBO starlet is really calling to me. Presumably it's totally fucked though.

Surprisingly decent looking diesel PT Loser with loads of MOT for £850.

Look at those red carpets! The fake chrome! The colour coded dash! Is it wrong that I like this?

You like it because £850 and it looks like it's been really well cherished. That one could be the last standard survivor.

I drove one for 2 week in the states and can safely say it wasn't the best ever hire care I've had the pleasure of.

Republic of Ireland.  87 is the year (very late for a Cortina!); LS is the county; 640 is just a serial number.  I wonder if it was a private import?

I've never seen Irish plates like that before.

They've only been using them a bit over 30 years...

This little sports sneaker deserves a place on someone's driveway too.

Sadly the seller hasn't yet realised that using capital letters actually makes things 100x harder to read and, therefore, 1000x less attractive.

But... in his defence... it's probably not his fault.

I think theyve put that scoop on back-to-front.

(I'd feel like a proper 'back to front' driving that anyway)

I reckon that Insignia floppytop has to be the least desirable/most embarrassing car made in the last 30 years! What an absolute heap of shite. I guess that guarantees them being 110 per cent futureshite, and in another 30 years people on here will be frothing all over them, but hopefully we'll have used up all our crude oil supplies well in advance of that happening.
