Awesome, you should keep trying. Generally Camrys are seen as rock soild, I dont know if that also applies to 33 year old ones that have been off the road for a long time but I cant imagine it being hard/expensive to sort out!

I'll send another message but no response in 24h I'm guessing it has gone or maybe never existed? Or the guy secretly wants to keep it but needs to make appearances like he is trying to get rid of it to keep his wife happy...

In any case my wife will be distinctly unimpressed and it will probably be the third car in a row I have had to hide from her.

Small number plates as well so I would guess an import.

I don't think the LS400/Celsior came with these in any market. They are probably aftermarket, interesting considering people usually want clear ones. I think the car is looking great with them.

I did. Went through five of them in total, one on the road, another sold on far too cheaply as a project (should've kept it) and the other three broken for spares. Still got bits in the garage, including a couple of engines.

Sold, I am disappoint.

Truth be told I'm not really a Camry botherer type but the obvious attraction of a 41k car is obvious. I think I'll wait for another low mileage W124 saloon.

I recognise that from my days on the blue. Fella called Bruce used to own it iirc. Still looks pretty solid to be fair.

Edit: Almost 4k?! Scene tax exempt my arse!

Edit again: Found the old thread. I remembered the interior as being very alternative- are these old Renner seats?

Yeah, they look like Monaco seats, not sure I like the idea of them in a Ford though.

fantastic! I like the bold claim that there is no rust on that R14...

I still love that Renault marketing tried to associate it with a pear (aerodynamics?). And then it rotted away. Quickly became the rotten pear. Oh dear.

Shame the R14 isn't in Calais - but I guess being further south has probably given it a better shot at survival.

£900 mark-up for doing absolutely bugger all with it.  Good luck with that...

I knew I'd seen it. Absolute chancers.

Also the advert seems to be wrote by someone who sells furniture rather than cars...

"An exterior aerial in chrome is centrally positioned above the windscreen"

That Moskvich Estate on the previous page is wonderful, good ad too.

I'd ditch the whitewalls though, far too ostentatious.

And apparently (from the ad) "Permission for the use or copying of the Photography here is strictly prohibited without the prior written permission from the owners at  www.etc..."

Better shut AS down now then!
