Looks like, from his posting history, he took it in as Part Ex.  Off the road 14 years, corroded brake pipes - one uk owner but an irish car so no paperwork from beyond that.  Could it be one of those Cork built ones?

You’re a top chap and all that @Asimo old love, but I hate you now because I am consumed with want for that Strada, and the Royale Coupe.  The rare facelift FE VX 4/90 is a bit special too. And the Beta Berlina looks eminently fixable, and worth it.

Some of the estimates look quite low - £9k for a tidy XJC or R109 Merc SL.  Is that a technique to bring in mug punters (like me) or has the shiny classic market taken a dip?  Others are still all the money, obvs.

Half tempted to take a day off and go along. 

 

Edit: not that I’ve got any money, certainly not £9k for another old Jag.

Latest on BXgate. Apparently the guy told the PO he wanted the car as a personal pet project and was going to love and care for it etc, so she gave him some money off the asking price without him having to negotiate!
