Do like that LS400. Common sense would dictate I sell the Sunny, bin off the Camry (avoiding spending whatever the latter requires to get it on the road again this winter) and get that instead. Food for thought, trouble is I suspect it'll be gone before I can put a plan into place.

Anyway, that wasn't what I came here for.

Even with it being a project, I'm surprised the seller isn't asking more for this Japanese import:

On the other hand, when did values of these suddenly rise so much?

It's nice, and I bet they're a great drive, but nearly £7k nice?

That Celica does look really nice.

Not actually that insane for KGF pricing to be honest. It was on Auto Trader for £1400 with the longterm owner before they got it.

The waffle in the advert is strong, with such classics such as

Citroen 'stance'

Sumptuous interior

quirky coded anti-theft keypad

To be fair, a nice car, slight shame it didn't get specced with the 150hp 16v 2.0 instead.

Fiat 126, yes - in the same category as the Merc W123 in one way - car I wished I'd bought when they were peanuts..

That, messieurs-dames, is the coolest car on the whole damned planet.

Do not

repeat not

under any circumstances

paint.

Very nice.

However, something doesn't look right.

Isn't there meant to be some sort of ventilation in that deck lid? It looks odd.

I don't care about the back of that Pantera.

If I had £16k spare it'd be sitting on my drive … with me staring out of the window at the front of it, or sitting in it and making brum brum noises.

On the plus side, it's very cheap.

Nope, that’s the correct factory standard.

A fondness for overheating is just one of the reasons the PantError is the shiter’s chestwig supercar of choice.

Interesting article here with some eye watering numbers for restoration costs: https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2019/02/27/de-tomaso-pantera-buyers-guide

But who’s talking about restoration? It’s a big dumb Ford V8, can’t be that hard to make it GLF.

Ironically, it looks like a copy of a Mitsuoka Viewt now.

Been thinking about getting something a little wafty for work driving duties.  Camrys have been proving of interest but I just found this:

It’s white and thanks to this place my first concern was whether it had 50p stuck in the handbrake.  20p only applies to the smaller models so stands to reason the larger car needs a larger coin.....

Just be aware that the 2.0 without a turbo will not be quick in a car that size.

Sold for a smidge over £1k last time but I was strongly suspecting shill bidding.

I once had a dream where we went to the beach in a Renner 16 TX which was some sort of factory prototype or late production 16 fitted with the 2664 V6. It had a full slide-back vinyl sunroof and for some reason the rear wheels were locked as the handbrake was jammed on. Which was a bit inconvenient.

£2250 on C&C:

Low miles, MOT out in November but history shows no mention of rot.  Interior bad, apparently - leaky sunroof perhaps?
